They have nailed the lighting, the shadows and the colours, but there is still something I find "meh" about the graphics.

Will still pick it up though, to see it on the big screen, no video (or picture) compression .

That looks really nice I know, and no...it won't look 'alot' better in fact it'll look practically the same. I've already seen the trailer in the original post and those graphics are final so I and everyone else who has seen that trailer know what to expect.

That aside, the textures do look really good, kind of artsy but not realistic. When you look at these screenshots you can tell very easily that it's a video game and that's because everything looks like it's made out of clay, especially the characters. Honestly, fast forward the trailer in the OP to :25 and look at the guys face (best example I could find), it's underwhelming I'm sorry that's just my opinion.

thats the whole point thou, Epic honestly doesnt seem to take Gears of War too seriously, Thats why In my opinion they choose a less real life graphics approach.....Looks damn good in my opinion

Well after the first one and the second one im tired of gears the multiplayer just fails in my opinion. I don't see how people enjoy shooting someone literally 50 times just to kill them. 

Did you play the Gears 3 beta? because that was really good, much better than the previous games.

yeah i played the beta and it was a let dow like i have come to expect with the franchise. 

Haters 'gonna hate.  Gears 2 won numerous "Best Graphics 2008" awards from respected sites like Gametrailers, IGN, and Gamespot.  It didn't do that by looking like crap.  Some people just can't help themselves.  We wait a long time to see a gameplay trailer, like what we see, and people that don't like the series, never liked the series, and don't even have 360's come to the thread to try and diminish the impact.

As I said before, the game looks stunning.  I saved the trailer to my phone and my 360 (now available for download on Xbox Live) and I just can't stop watching it.  Who cares if the game doesn't live up to the expectations of people who "don't get it"?  In September, millions and millions of gamers are going to be extremely satisfied.

IGN and Gamespot actually gave the best graphics award to MGS4. I'm not hating at all, but to say Gears of War 2 is the undisputed 2008 graphics...well, I just don't agree.

What!?  This looks like a job for google!!  As for the bolded part, it's cool that you don't agree but I never said that.  Everybody has opinions and that's cool.
