Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas. Vice City does have better humor and music, and 1980s Miami is indubitably more appealing than the gangsta rap culture of South Central L.A in the 1990s ever could be, but San Andreas is just more fun.
Gran Turismo: I played half a race of the demo once, so I guess it'd have to be Gran Turismo 4.
Halo: Again, my experience with the franchise is limited to a single game: Combat Evolved. I had some giggles with 4-player split-screen, but nowadays everybody either lives too far away or doesn't like Halo, and without local multiplayer I don't really see much of a reason to buy these games.
Zelda: Though I prefer the original in some respects, (Less NPC interaction, lets you start exploring the overworld right away without any unneeded jibber-jabber, etc.) the side-quests, refined (one could even say perfected) gameplay, more intricate dungeons and the Dark World give A Link to the Past the edge.
And the music is just
.
