No one seems to talk about it, but PS3 has outsold the 360 for 2 years straight and is projected to next year! Thats crazy. What do you guys think about the end to this console war?
for me its nothing new...i know PS3 would outsell X360 in the long run...i think just Xbox fanboys thought their end up 2nd this gen...but again mad respect for Microsoft...after the "Xbox" failure last gen they really came strong this gen...
Nothing new... 360 sold more than PS3 just in 2008.
All other PS3 full year was lead by PS3.
So the GAP dropped from 8 million to 3.5 million.
I think that Sony is still a lot stronger than people think. And that anything can happen next gen.
I think everyone on this site has noticed that, and it's not that crazy either IMO.
About the end of the console war: even though PS3 has been a letdown in general for Sony, they're going strong into next gen, which is important if Sony want to regain marketshare.

PS3 sales coming ahead is already too little too late. It might come out of last place with hardware, but it will still be last place for software. When it actually does crawl ahead, if it does, it will be after the generation is already over, and Nintendo and Microsoft are already enjoying their head starts on the next generation; Sony's lead over the Xbox 360 at that point won't even matter anymore.

Everyone should see this, Sony is pleasing the gamers. they ship game after game, their exclusives are awesome and bring new things everytime. This is their buisness and they are doing a good job. Without playstation, gaming would stagger hard!
and this is why I support the brand, they bring games, not just the hardware like some other companys, and this is fact!
I kept this in mind and I don't consider PS3 a failure in no way. Surely some things may have been handled better and it is clear that Sony lost its marketshare, but they are still strong and they have provided in my opinion the most rounded experience this generation.
Sony is in the perfect position right now
1. They can wait for MS to cut price
2. New slim model likly to come out this year
3. Greater software line up
Sony holds all the cards only they could f**k it up
Last quarter results showed that the gap between Xbox 360 and PS3 has widened.

Gap 3 million
Xbox 360 is extremely strong in US and currently Japan isn't helping PS3 at all.
