ioi are you sure the DOA:D sales are right? If you look at the gamepage it's been getting sales for over 10 weeks now.

Zelda is the only which will be big for sure (Gamestop already is sold out of its preorders bonus in italy), RE could be big or Kid Icarus...everything actually could, but even DoA could, as Isaid it's quite impossible to predict as these games will perform. And I just understood the moment of lack of games is not going to end there :(
Hopefully Nintendo fills the summer at E3, otherwise these will be difficult times!

I'd say the DS still has a pretty solid lead on the PSP... |
that is last gen bud, if the ngp can even post similar numbers (ie. ~50/50 market split) nintendo loses the crown it has held since the GB released in what 1989?
The GameBoy Advance sold about 82 million units...if the 3DS ends up selling less than the GBA, will it make the system the worst selling Nintendo handheld ever??
HW. Good week overall for home consoles, excellent, compared to the recent past, for Wii. Portables all down, 3DS is the worst selling portable and the fastest dropping too. MK sales tell us its new cheaper bundle gave Wii the biggest help, but discounts on other bundles helped it too (on a much smaller scale, MK bundles were the only ones sold out at many shops).
SW. Excellent week! Go, Witcher, GO! Excellent LA Noire launch too. GT5 on Viagra, 100% UP!
Peripherals, etc. Kinect: the multi-million € Easter ad campaign is over and its effects too, after giving it roughly 20-30k more total sales from the week before Easter until now in EMEAA, like it already looked like it was going to end up last week. Balance Board outsells Kinect again almost 2:1.

No. It's now clear that Ninty, many years ago, made the Virtual Boy on purpose, to be sure that from then on no portable of its would have sold worse.

Isn't too soon to call? Yes it would, no, I still think it won't, look at PS3 which started slow for the same reasons (price and lack of games) and where it's now, outselling even the Wii and looking to enter in the 80m range...for the fourth time I ask everyone to look at DS sales in EMEAA, they were not that different and DS was cheaper and had not a previous competitor as big as DS is. Sure, it's not doing as well as everyone, even Nintendo, though, but has plently of time to improve. The lack of big games still makes me afraid it won't happen soon, Zelda is not enough...
GT5 loves to show "sales and legs of other games don't apply here"
.
Wii sales are quite dissapointing, I would of thought Number 1 would of been fairly straight forward to beat, but its just not happening, I think the Wii bubble has officially burst, and it'll be damn hard to get it back again
3DS keeps falling, the price in the UK is only £160 too, DoA:D totally bombed, I think consumers are just finding it too hard to justify that price, there are few games out for the system and price here is more than a Wii, 360, DS and PSP, which have substantially larger and stronger libraries

Most likely price drop in some places.
