It seems like I can only charge the controller on the usb port of my PS3 with the USB cable given with the PS3. It doesn't seem to work anywhere else and I feel it's no point getting just a longer cable..

I got a USB adapter power plug but I can't charge the controller and I have to discover it the hard way during a game. -_-"

Anyone can recommend any usb charger adapter plug for my PS3(default) controller?

not sure what your saying my PS3 pads charge of any powered USB port with any USB cable, but you cant play your PS3 at the same time unless of course its plugged into the PS3, as when wired it sends the pad data down the wire. 

That's the problem.

It can't work through a usb port adapter plug..I've used every usb adapter plug  i can find and it still can't work.

I don't want to use the only PC in the house as my bro is constantly using it for his dota/L4D1 and usb ports are scarce because of his constant occupation lol haha.
