Forums - Sony - Just finished Grand Valley A- Spec! :D

Ok so to you guys thats probably nothing im sure there are many of you who have done the 24hrs but for me this is a big achievement. I dont often get the time to do endurance on A-spec as school gets in the way. It was definately worth it! The XP was nice and money was okish but i felt awsome for completeing it! So have you guys done any A-Spec endurance and for you is it just the sence of achievemnet or all for xp and a car?

I never could stand to play that long, I hardly can stand playing more than one hour in an racegame, so those enduring races are nothing for me X_X..

I've done 1 on GT3 back in the day. Doubt whether I'll ever do it again...

I've done some endurance races but my car was so good compared to the others that it just felt like repetitive boringness. It was ok at night while I'm listening to the radio or a podcast or something.

Then I decided to get a car that would barely be able to win and it was so much fun. The 6h race in Nürburgring was awesome, and I was 2nd or 3rd or 4th many times when I pit-stopped. But at the end of the 6h I won by 1 minute and it felt great being on the edge and not being able to make mistakes. I had to race as fast as possible, calculate my stops and choose the tyres carefully. A lot of fun.

The 24h ones are impossible, I'm not gonna leave the PS3 on just for that, I'm waiting for the patch that allows you to save.

Also, why the hell do I need to grind just to reach the level where I can do the 24h races? I have to grind like 5 levels. WHY??? Really? Grinding? In GT? WHYYYYYY????? It's like taking a chocolate cake and putting a coat of shit on it.

I needed to grind in between every endurance race. Like, I have to repeat the endurance race 2 or 3 times. That should not be a part of a game that's about picking it up and playing. GT is pick up and play, plain and simple. So I should be able to play the game however I want, why make it linear and repetitive like that?

Also, B-spec sucks balls. Just watching the car and having FOUR commands. For sooooo long. Ugh. But at least that's just an addition, you don't need to do it.

These are such simple things that would make the game so much better. I still love the game, but it annoys me.

Sorry for the long rant.

Totally agree with you although i dont think i would want to risk coming second in an awful car when i could blitz it in the X1. Still is boring and the only reason i do it is to get a load of xp. Did the Indy 500 last night and i couldnt play any music :( the funnest thing was a 200od mph crash on lap 154 which felt awsome! Loved the car at the end but they are just so dull. Bspec is ok. I just leave it on all night so its all good. Do hate the fact that you have to grind before reaching the right level. Takes the mic to get up a level but if you can do the X1 challange its okish.  Only reason i am doing the game is 1 for the sence of achievement, 2 because my friend and i are doing it together so we can help each other and 3 so i can say to everyone, including myself that i did it, i stuck it out and i finshed it!
