What the hell!  I literally just bought a computer on Monday.  I wonder if Best Buy will go backwards a week and honor this.

Edit: Just called Best Buy customer service.  The lady said the deal won't start until Sunday, and they aren't certain on any specifics yet, as for Best Buy specifically, it may only qualify for certain computers, etc.  Regardless, she said to take a look at the deal, and IF my laptop does qualify, I will likely either be able to simply get the 360, or arrange something where I will get it.

We shall see how swell this works, because I have serious doubts, and am of the mindset that it will be a complete and total pain in the ass due to me purchasing it before the deal actually started.

No can do, the laptop was $120 off this week, so I would essentially be paying $120 additional tax for the 360, in which case it isn't a deal for me.

I'm hoping they let me simply show them the receipt and allow me to partake in the deal.  I know with their price match guarantee, they don't guarantee free items from other stores, but if you have a new deal a week ahead of the one you bought, the million dollar question is, will they combine that deal with yours.

I'm hoping they do, because it is Microsoft paying for this specific deal, not even Best Buy.

There was a radio ad or something that gives free ps3 with purchase of a phone/plan also.

How come the PS3 and Xbox 360 are given free but never the Wii?

Wiis are also given away for "free" with phone contracts. (Please note that with phone plans the extras aren't really free. You pay for them with your monthly contract...)

Real question is, how do we track this?
