Do you want to see classic control's replace motion controls?

Yes, I prefer GameCube controls 38 26.57%

No, the Wiimote is amazing 28 19.58%

Both I want something like Brawl 57 39.86%

Entirely new controls 20 13.99%

Total:143

Well its been awhile since this thread was made, I think its safe to conclude from the poll that gamers want to see Motion controls and classic controllers living side by side. In a few days we will see if Nintendo agrees and launches with support for both types of controls.

I can't wait for E3 and to see what Nintendo announces. I think the poll is right and I hope Nintendo launches two controllers or somehow incorporates both control schemes. Or maybe we will see some radicaly new control scheme!

back to classic control please. A control like the ps3 control could be great !

I don't mind both to be honest. Some games make good use of motion controls and others work perfectly well with standard controllers. It's up to the devs to decide which is better and see what they can do with it. Personally, I love having both choices.

I would very much prefer Nintendo stay with motion controls, although I suspect they will continue to offer supprt for some sort of classic control scheme. Realistically, the amount of effort it would take for Nintendo to allow the Wii's classic controller to work on Cafe would be negligible.

The real question is; 'What can the Gamecube controller do that the Wii remote can't?

The answer is 'nothing'.

And the Wii remote and nunchuck combination can do loads more than the Gamecube controller.

Anyone that said Gamecube controls is deluded.

Wii remote and PS3's Move are the best controllers around. Very versatile.

Considering the Wii is about to be replaced and I can count on my fingers the number of games where motion controls were used without detracting from the experience I hope every game released supports a normal controller.

Even without 'motion controls' the Wii remote and nunchuck are far better than Dual thumb sticks.

i want both.

some games are just plain more fun with motion - mario kart.

some games are just plain more fun without motion - Smash Bros.

some games are fun with or without motion and it is really nice to have the option - killzone3

options are good. sometimes i'm full of energy and motion games are great but a lot of the time i'm playing to relax after a long day and don't have the energy for that.  if all games were motion controlled i would game a lot less than i do now.

Classic controls, it might make some of the games on the system tolerable at least (I'm looking at you Brawl and No More Heroes). If they kept the motion controls and then packed in a classic controller with every console, while also making sure that all their games support that classic controller, then I'd be fine with just that.

Bet with Conegamer and AussieGecko that the PS3 will have more exclusives in 2011 than the Wii or 360... or something.

Amen. My CoD skills have gone up dramatically due to Wii controls. =)
