So... Not night yet! W marked me most by his " defense" of vette, though this may have been liked to his pm as he was scum... Also i don't like it but, was he new to mafia? If so it would look good for links as new mafia players won't vote scumbuddies on day one. Though on the other hand linkz is the one who reminded of the no lynch first day on new players doctrine from a few games ago. In any case i'm still set on S V L but with this L went to the back of this list. And yes, 4 mafia with a treacherous lover is ok. ( that's basically as 3vs7 yet better or 3vs1vs6 wonk with sk). Anyways i'm not changing my current mind yet.

OK, does "please refrain from posting" mean it's night now?  Or was that just some temporary thing??

I don't think night now considering his answer to prof

will the vote for modkill end the day?

No, but the town is free to end it if they want.

I said the PM stated whether or not I would be penalized. Never did I say I absolutely would be penalized. Care to explain how you forget that since I was vague about it every single time?

the problem I see is why would ABC have the compultion to PM you on this when you have a role that just can't be penalized anyways... it didn't seem right with a role that could be penalized in the first place, but there it makes even less sense that he PMed you...

anyways no need to over think this before tomorow.

I still haven't said I don't have an ability, and to my knowledge neither has ST. I'm definitaly going to have plenty to say to ABC about the PM post-game, but there isn't more to say at this point. Believe it exists or don't, I'm keeping the contents a mysetry for the most part.

As Heph mentioned, this whole sibling/lover thing might be a gamble by silver-tiger to save his fellow scum member linkz. But if we assume they are telling the truth, which is probable, in my opinion, I'd say Stefl and Final-Fan looks a little suspicious.

Why do I say this ? Silver-Tiger supposedly defended linkz because he knew of his role, and that his death would mean that they both die. But Stefl (mostly) and Final-Fan (to a lesser extent, evident by his change of heart somewhat in the later stages) defended linkz, not having much suspicion on them. Could they be scum trying to cover themselves from a mislynch ?

Going from recollection here so a reread might turn something up. It's unfortunate that my lynchtrain gathered so much steam in such a short time. If there was some initial reaction to look at and compare to post-ST backing off, it would give a better idea as to ST's alignment and if scum, his mates. Now that Wildvine flipped mafia and never backed off of my lynch, I feel even stronger about ST being town, which is bad for our survivability.

I'm also surprised nobody has attacked me at all. very very surprised by that (well, heph did a little bit, and a little from link....but nothing like the usual)

I don't think I was attacking you so much as I was overreacting to what I felt was an attack on me. I've already decided I'm not even going to try reading you until day two.(If I'm still alive) And it was good to see that we were both doing the right math, but for different questions. I read NS's question as the odds of you and Stefl specifically, and not any two(and exactly two) from last round matching.

I would not expect anyone else to know anything about Linkz and NotStan, unless they are mafia instead of lovers, but that would be crazy because everyone would be like "WTF aren't you dead yet" the whole game.

I am fine with discussing whether to No Lynch.  I think the town can't really afford it, but I would like it if we could.
And prof -- we've been busy elsewhere

Now that a mafia has flipped, I'd say lynch me or ST for sure day three if we're both still here.

The main reason for the eagerness for the night is I found out I have jury duty coming up in a few weeks which would mean I may be away from a computer for a long time and the way this game is going day 3 probably won't be over by then.

The lack of contribution as I have said is a mix of a suddon loss of free time and the number of posts at times need to catch up. At least last night there weren't many and it's the week end now so I should have some more free time.

Day one is often the longest, unless everyone comes to a quick consensus to no lynch. As long as people don't resort to lurking the other days should breeze by. Plus, you could always out yourself and your partner if the game lasts til you have jury duty.

If we've got three scum, my guess is that at least two Mafia members are among the Train Riders because defending against the mislynch on Day Two would have been quite easy. I also think one of them is hiding in the Pussies just because scum don't like to be all grouped together.

From the first phase of Train Riders, I'm trusting myself, Wonk (duh) and Silver-Tiger (for now). Now on to the others:

- Heph I don't feel too well about, I do believe that if he is scum he would had no problem letting Linkz hang but he was the first unvote him which would seem to indicate a concern townie but I wouldn't put it above him to have pulled that move just to appear town and this is reinforced but the fact that he revoted first and by his overconfidence when it was looking like Linkz could be lynched again (mainly his "We've got two scum" comment which seemed out of character from Heph to me).

- Wildvine, he voted as the train was getting steam, based on ideas on others, talked a bit about the second PM thing and disappeared. That looks really bad.

- Prof, I have mixed feelings about, he seems to be back to his normal self. He was the fourth vote on Linkz, a scum tell according to himself (I kinda enjoy being able to throw that at him :P). His accusations (not just on Linkz) never sounded fake or forced to me, so he does appear genuine but he's the kind of player that I never stop suspecting because I know he could very well be playing me. Also on a sidenote, he's been agreeing with too much for my taste, last time he agreed with me he had plans to kill me so it makes me uncomfortable (but then again I was scum so he was right in wanting me dead).

I hope my little exercice brings some discussion, I'll return later to check out who I think could be the reluctant Mafia in the Pussies but until then:

Vote: Wildvine

It's interesting that you had the same suspicions on the train riders.(though I didn't name prof) What'd you think of the second phase of Riders? Vette and GoW?

Yes I think this proves vig or SK. I think more likely vig, but either one is possible.

Sidekick is like a bodyguard fyi.

I think we should consider a lynch. We have probably another 2 mafia, and we're basically even with where we were at the outset, albeit in a smaller pool (that wonk peed in). This is due to the fact that mafia are worth double their weight in townies.

So re-summarize,

Town lost 2 votes and a gimped bodyguard (50% sidekick), but one basically became a ghost to haunt the town throughout the rest of the game.
Mafa lost a 50% hider, who was a lurker.

Town gained a confirmed townie, removed a lurker, and removed a player who was a big question mark.
Mafia gained, well, who's to say? a sidekick is kind of like a doc, so they gained some impunity. Without knowing who the others are and what they may be playing at, it's hard to say what else they may have gained. Cover? Alibi?

I'm just surprised that I missed wildvine as that big of a suspect. Sure he was in my scum-team suspect of 4, but I only gave it credence because he hadn't popped up as being town. Rather than something against wild, there was simply nothing pro-wildvine, which, in contrast to the other players, made him stand out. Vette and Linkz, I believe, have been the most insightful concerning wildvine, which I'm not entirely sure makes any difference.

Things to look up today are people who defended notstan (seem to remember a player saying notstan was probably just making noob mistakes and becoming easy to vote for), and that  may be it... Wildvine may have been counted out and cannibalized purposely, so both defending or attacking wildvine....is more than a little situational, and difficult to interpret from my point of view.

http://mafiascum.net/wiki/index.php?title=Sidekick implies that unlike a bodyguard which soaks up a kill, a Sidekick soaks up any other action. If that's the case, then it was probably a decent loss. Imagine him targeting mafia at the same time as a cop?

I'm not surprised by Wildvine. I mean I was onto him early and then he reeked of newbie scum. I was merely willing to give him the one day of grace.(that is if I was around to push the lynch day two)

Surprised it was that easy to catch up. A day away gave me the sleep and clarity I needed, and tomorrow I'm going to reread and we'll lynch ourselves a second scum.

Is the time limit still active with the modkills?
