However, I'm also suspicious of Vette for understanding that I'm a townie. But, then again I did say that I only have one vote, I win with town, and there's nothing complicated about my role at all. I'm not a townie-SK like Baal implied last round. THere is literally nothing beyond that.

1.)No, I did not forget the conversation. What I meant is that Niko Bellic is scum and Dimitri Rascalov (or whatever his name was) is town. It's a misunderstanding and I'm sorry, I worded that terribly.

2.)Of course I know my alignment, I'm pro-town. I read my PM after all.....

As for the third-party, yes, it's possible that there is a cult or SK. I'm asking you, why not? Does it seem that unlikely that in a GTA-themed game there is a serial killer or a cult? I did not imply that you have on of these roles, I just clarified that these roles my exist in this game.

when will people learn that talking about their own PM is a bad bad idea?

 

if there's cults it'd be krishna's in orange and squish well under the cars =) but that would be GTA 1 or 2 =D (maybe 4 too but I don't recall them there)

As I said a few times, it's more fun for me personally. I already know that as scum I can blend quite well, to the point that claiming I scan guilty was the reason I didn't make end game if not win at all despite having one partner make themselves the scummiest looking player since radish and the other partner disappearing and being modkilled. I've also shown that I have no issues of displaying a connection with a scummate, evidenced by quoting hatmoza linking myself and Gnizmo.

Point is I don't need to do it as an aid if I get unlucky(because I prefer town roles) and land scum, but it doesn't hurt either. Just playing the odds, I'm more likely to role town, and for that I am trying to hide what type of role I have. You say it shouldn't matter because there aren't really tells or they can be hidden, but you(among others) also correctly had me pegged for a power role my second game when I thought I was playing the same.

The reason I was vocal about it is because I wanted scum to know that they cannot read me day one when I'm town. I said it again in thread because there are players this round that very likely wouldn't have read the quicktopic where I said it was my intention. That's also for any of them that could be scum, but also for anyone that is town so that if I'm still around in future days they would understand why there may be a shift in my behavior.

I'm town that's probably in too deep. The reactions are great to gauge people's alignments, but I think it will be up to the other townies to make sense out of it all.

I'm starting to think you could be town but  there's still some points that don't sit well with me.

You say you're clever ever to fit in with the crowd if you land a scum role (I agree with you on this) but right after that you say not reading your PM helps you hide your possible power role and you bring up last game to support this idea because you were spotted as a power role.

That makes no sense since you caught my attention on Day Two because you defended ABC while he was doing his best to make himself look scummy. That was what pointed to you having some kind of information on ABC that explained your leaniency for his behavior.

I don't see how not reading your PM Day One could have changed that situation.

Also since you are so sceptical about asking if prof is a towny, do you think there might be a difference between asking if someone is scum or if someone is towny? If you do think there is then please explain it to me why you think there is one.

There IS a difference in my mind but I'll let Silver-Tiger answer since he's the one you asked the question to.


Well, I also explained that before, but here we go again.

When I'm town, I would ask: "are you scum?", since I try to find scum.

When I would be scum, I would rather ask: "are you a towny?" since as scum you know who your buddies are.

That's where the difference is: You try to find out who has a powerrole and who is a simple towny. As pro-town you couldn't care less who has powerroles (other than protecting them), since they're on your side.

No I never said I was scum,  you are assuming that I was refering to all my PMs including the one from this game as well,  But I was in fact refering to my past role PMs when I was town and theprof's current PM.  My lack of a reaction is to an overreaction of a very simple post taken out of context.   If you want to know what my alignment is all you have to so is ask,  it does specifically say which side I am in my Role PM.  Thats because it part of my role.

So Not Scum Vette,  overreaction on yours and everyone elses part on a simple comment.

i understand it sux to slip day one after being nightkilled night one... but in your despair there's a silver lining, your scumbuddy link will be preceeding you and you get to live till tomorrow's lynch at least ^^, plus he's usually very chatty in the dead thread so you won't feel laone like last time.

@ bolded, as i pointed out to ST, people should really learn not to speak of their own PMs.

I can't imagine it was an elaborate trap set to see if I'd bite one way or the other and actually give my alignment away.
