Who said I'm waiting to play? I'll be doing a lot of scumhunting today, but the "cut to the chase and vote no lynch" was a drunken jab at last round because everybody wanted to let night actions get things started.

should I remind you of my remark late last round?

if it were not for the first day no lynch, there would not have been a last day (and the target of choice having been ABC day one, we definitely would have lost sooner).

Should I remind you that there were 6 scum to essentially 6 townies last round?

I don't know how I feel about Linkz doing it, but the last time someone did this, they were mafia. It was dsister.

last time was linkz last round... and he both was a townie and did not announce it.

However you might accidentally give away a role like a voting role. If you have something like hephs you could help the mafia team by them knowing you could only hammer. plus if you don't read it you won't get any other messages from ABC if you are going to be penalized.

HoS Linkz

How would I get penalized if I can't actually claim? And there's nothing stopping me from reading newer PMs without opening the role PM, in case I do get more.

I haven't read the thread yet, and as I mentioned in the quicktopic last round I won't be reading my role until the first night. Will we actually be lynching today or should I just cut to the chase and vote no lynch?

I don't see how this would benefit anyone other than scum. Not reading your PM means you'll be going through Day One assuming you're a townie until you read your PM at night so if you're really a townie it's the same as if you had actually read it.

If you're scum though, it prevents you from acting differently to your scummates kinda giving you a head start. Also, it allows you to start Day Two knowing which one of your team mates townie-Linkz would have been suspicious of, knowing which townie gave Townie-Linkz a scum vibe so you can "honestly" push for his lynch.

Since I see this as a scum tactic, I'll do my best to stop it now:

Vote: Linkzmax

It can benefit town just as much as it's possible to benefit scum. If I knew I was a pro-town sibling last round I may have tried to suicide day one thinking I could take out a scum with me, but I do know I would have played vastly different and I have no idea what you, prof, and Stefl would've made of a difference. As it played out you guys made zero mention of me the first night.

So yes I assume by odds that I'm a townie, but by not reading my role I can avoid giving any possible power tells to scum.

However you might accidentally give away a role like a voting role. If you have something like hephs you could help the mafia team by them knowing you could only hammer. plus if you don't read it you won't get any other messages from ABC if you are going to be penalized.

HoS Linkz

actually last round I was authorised to fake vote, but as soon as I did, it appears that Hat realized how it would be a givaway and asked me to unvote. If I had read none of my PMs day one, I would have kept my vote on you and thereby breaking the rules of the game....

that's the point that I'm making. If he doesn't read his PM he might be breaking a rule he doesn't know about more likely with voting but there could be something else.

so? abc was town, how would his lynch have helped us?

the next ones on the list were leather and trash  for inactivity... you'd have felt pretty smart not reading your PM and putting the hammer on leather for day one lurking only to find out you crippled the town of 30% of it's members...

Vote Linkz

I can not imagine how not reading his PM is helpful in any way, especially from an experienced player like Linkz. He should have no problem not revealing anything of his role.

It doesn't matter which side he is on. He hurts the town because he doesn't know his possible power role and connections. If he is a mason he doesn't know to look for clues for that. If he is a sibling, he doesn't know who his partner is. For example, chances are very high somebody has the role of Niko Bellic, and the power role sibling, with Roman as his brother. When Roman dies, Niko dies, too. I for one would like to know that BEFORE night 1.

If he's scum, he could try to lynchvote somebody day 1. he would need to defend himself for the vote, but that counts for anybody who votes, town or scum.

The fact that he even mentions not reading his PM makes him just more suspicious. Why would you need to mention it here, just do it and be fine with it, but the need to tell it everybody makes me thoughtful.

I suppose siblings would fit flavor-wise, but the OP makes it seem like Niko isn't one of us. "Within the hour, 13 members of the Liberty City's underground had gathered at Elizabetha's home. Each of then had proclaimed their innocence, but Niko was not convinced." So I don't see any reason to think there's linked roles, or that I landed one again.(even though my odds would have been the same as every one else's should such roles exist)

And I announced it here because I already said I would and to be fair to the people that wouldn't have read the quicktopic.

How does that knowlege help the town at all?

Help your fellow scumates understand your actions, sure.

Help the town.... how?

that's L-1.... although I feel this has been very rushed and some players have not come much on yet... I just can't shake the legitimacy of the complain.

However, considering Linkz being a high profile player and that the mafia would be all too happy of a day one free linkz lynch..

Vote: UNVOTE
