Heph's message apparently is "stefl thinks trucks asked too many questions", and that made him look at stefl's questions?

no that is how i initially interpreted it.

interpretation...

Why you all think it is important to be vague, I have no idea.

I'm done with this, and gunna just put it out there that hobo and lie detector are easy falseclaims, and ambiguous pms are just as easily falsified.

Additionally, I'd say it was dumb, not to put too fine a point on it, to out stefl without thinking. Politically, the result of this is stefl's confirmation, so I'd say the move was done for that specific purpose. OTOH, there are a couple of other players I'd like to look into...so if I get a flip somewhere else, that would allay my concerns over this whole scenario.

The people I want to look into are FF, and GoW.

Plus it would be a uselsess role if randomized. Also the questions stefl asked day one. Made sence to me. I just hope he's not penalized now that you said his role.

Yes, Cop is still useful even if randomized, LD not so much. The rules say there's a penalty only if someone says their role/ability and it is true. It'd be rediculous to try to keep everyone from speculating on each others' roles.

I agree that it was dumb, hence why early in the day I say that I made a mistake

Town gains nothing from outing it's power roles for no scum... but once I outed them...some discution had to ensue.

Stefl should have never said anything in the first place. He is as much to blame as Heph.

I agree that in a minute way, the vote was oddly placed, but it really didn't matter who the vote was on. Since Heph has proof of stefl's towniness, One way or another Heph has reason to tell me.

Heph's message apparently is "stefl thinks trucks asked too many questions", and that made him look at stefl's questions?

This seems like a very strange statement. If you believe Heph has some reason to know that Stefl is town, then you should vote to pressure Heph for that information, not the supposed townie. I know you weren't actually pushing for a lynch, it's just illogical to me.

well I'm at work and have more than that on my plate. It's not like I work at a firestation and have off-duty time. I work retail, so I apologize if my vote wasn't on the right person. I agree with your point, but I also got my answers.

Scum tracker takes care of knowing his target. There was plenty to go off day one to read Stefl as Lie Detector. Even if it wasn't picked up, Heph could have said he's not the cop as a gambit. It could get Stefl to deny that and thus confirm to mafia who needs to be killed/blocked. Or it could give Stefl a sense of protection from roleclaiming in order to gain false trust. There's really no drawback to making such a statement.

Hence the whole "Just saying to prevent the cop from outing himself." I would hope a cop would realize there's no way so many investigative roles exist in such a small game, but it's not certain. You're right though, if there are any counterclaims(and not just direct) then it wouldn't be bad to come forward.

one kill a night, there's no way to kill 3 investigative roles before finding scum.

Well if the investigators have horrible luck it is possible, but that's exactly my point. So you're saying there won't be anyone coming forward?

well then it's decided. Actually Stefl's role is only more powerfull if people know... though his fate depends on the protection he gets.

Lie to stefl and he'll know. He asked Trucks if he was a townie, Trucks answered and at Dawn, Stefl knew.

What did I missinterpret? I thought my flavor said that stefl thought trucks asked too many questions... this prompted me to vote directly instead of inquiering. Stefl saying he knew at dawn made me tick to the questions he asked day one.

The 4 people he had as targets yesterday were Trucks, Proff and I guess the lovers.... his choice of Trucks was wise as the lovers were likely to die and Proff too (errr).

On that FoS FF, FoS Proff for wanting to know the role, now please let stefl ask you a question, and do answer truthfully ^^.

Yay ninja'd^^

I think my appologie post got eaten... so appologies ^^

Lie detector in the wiki has varations that say the ability is lost if claimed or the town figures it out.

I can only guess, but after thinking about it, if you look back, I quoted wonk to say "I wouldn't bet on it".

I thought I mentioned that I'm a volunteer firefighter. I have a full-time job as well that prevents me from posting during most days.

Yes, the answer was most important and that's what I would have pushed to get too if I had gotten online before it was already put forth.
