Forums - Nintendo - A 3DS conference on the way...for developers.

It's all started on a topic about Wii 2,when one of the users of this forum has shared what he has found on DLinkedin, while he was searching for business events...

Citazione

Target audience is Producers, Designers, key decision makers regarding game features, and project green lights.
This will not be a technical conference. The target audience will not be programmers or marketing teams.

Around the Network

Nice! If Nintendo can really get 3rd party pubs/devs on board with the system, we could seem some great software. I can't wait for these ports we're getting, but some cool new ips would be freat. I'd also assume this means we'll be seeing the eShop go live either right before or after the event.

Man a conference to increase third party support, could it be anything but amazing. I mean 3DS is already getting outstanding support from third parties. If this conference goes well we could be seeing that support drawn out for most of the 3DS life span.

As for some who will say 3DS sales are too low to get great third party support, just look at the support PSP got. Game developers develop games for good products they do care about dough but they are willing to put a great game on hardware even knowing they won't get the best pay.

Also don't forget the more third party support the higher 3DS sales will go. Nintendo needs all of the third party support they can get. In the past Nintendo has had to keep consoles afloat on their own but if they play their cards right 3DS could be the most successful third party supported platform since SNES!
