Ideas can be formed into actions of collected few. How do you think the US revolution started? It wasn't a spontaneous reaction to anything. It was people discussing and forming opinions then acting on them.

Truly a lot of anon disagrees with what happened to the PSN. But also Sony was leaking personal information like it was Niagara Falls so in the end I guess our information being more secure is a benefit of all this.

Somehow I don't remember the founding fathers being big on anonymity or lolz.

What next, you're going to compare a bunch of nerd teens in their basement and Gandhi ?

You keep talking about ideas and brains but at the same time you keep repeating like a parrot every pro anonymous pamphlet that you've been reading on the net...

our founding fathers very much hid in the shadows when planning things out till the days they needed to stand up in person.

I have also stood in protest with Anonymous against Scientology and lent a hand with protecting their anonymity as well as my own using the I2P client. So speaking with the NewFags and OldFags of Anonymous, I can tell you they are not evil people, but they do have the firepower, even splintered, to take out government servers (like they did to Egypt and Yemen).

Courts can't do anything with these ip's anyways.  They were obtained illegally, so that means even if they were real nothing can come of it.

Besides any hacker would know better than to stroll around using their own ip.  You see there are these things called proxies, look them up.  Then you can understand why these ip's don't matter.

Illegally obtained evidencre only applies to officers of the law, and those acting on their behalf.  If i got to my neighbors house and steal his hardrive containing illegal material such as child porn and bring it to the police they can arrest him.  However if the police were the ones who told me to do that then the evidence can't be used.

That link has nothing to do with what I said.  Thats talking about a person going in and buying drugs from someone who willingly sells them (as an example).  Anytime you do something illegal like breaking in your neighbors house to steal a computer will get you arrested.  No matter if there is kiddy porn on the evil bastards computer or not.

It appears some members of Anonymous are fighting for our rights by attacking members of Anonymous, who are also fighting for our rights.

LOL, I hope they hack themselves out of my life, because they sure as fuck ain't helping me out, or 99.9 % of all PSN users.

Apparently you have no idea that Anonymous helped out the Egyptians by setting up dial-up friendly blogs, websites, and offering any type of technical support they needed and still need, currently Libyans with the samething, making those torturing Bradly Manning hate their lives, battling Viacom and New Zealand over people's rights on the internet, fought the Church of Scientology over attempted internet censorship, the US Government over CopyWrong laws, and many other noble battles.

Even if you don't see the main benefit of the PSN DDOSing, there was basic rights to ownership of our consoles were being fought for. But I guess now we have the class action suit again Sony to gain back OtherOS.

but but but .. but i thought anonymous was just an idea.  if ideas can't be blamed for hacking psn then surely ideas can't be credited for anything else either.

So the United States founding fathers were living in their parents basement and then one day they're like "Hey..... Wanna start a revolution? Cause i'm bored and there's nothing better to do today." Make sense!

While not their parents basements, they had secret bases and used basements of local residences and businesses . I have even heard a story from an old man whose related to a person who fought in the war that they once discussed things during a masquerade ball held for some redcoat celebration.

@ssj12

you mentioned something earlier about threatening sony in order to bring back other os... do you really believe that you or the internet bad boys of anon will get sony to bring that feature back through threats? does that really seem likely to you? heres another question - who caused sony to remove the feature in the first place?

No, but a lovely check from Sony will fulfill that hole in my reasoning to buy the damn thing that was lost to Sony cowarding down and being scared of Nvidia.

Anon only entered things due to the whole "No custom firmware, we own your console" bs.

He who fights with Sony should look into it that he himself does not become Sony.

eh, like many anon are saying. So what? a collective of ideas cant be killed by taking down a website or two. Those can easily be replaced. The guys responsible were of the oldfags anyways, they have lost a lot of power so I guess rebelion is expected. they will quiet down once their periods are over.

Looks like a possible identity realignment and purging.  The original "For the lulz" is facing another faction that wants Anonymous to grow up, and act like mature adults.  Will see how it pans out.  Hard to say if Anonymous will destroy itself.

Anonymous cannot be destroyed. Anonymous has and always will live forever. No matter if they are the Illuminati of old, privateers of the seas, the Anonymous of the internet, or whatever title the future brings they will live forever with one title or another as beliefs and ideas can never be silenced.

Dude whatever you are smoking must be good stuff...

People doing things and not being identified has happened since the beginning and is what Anonymous is all about.  What do you think Anonymous is?

just curious as to the source of the bolded. I'm pretty sure niagara falls leaks water.

By the way, here are some words from an Anonymous supported I found on a forum off here to individuals complaining about PSN blaming down and wanting to rake Anonymous over the coals because of it:

It’s all lies.

Anonymous doesn’t steal credit card numbers for individual anon’s gains.

I’m not even an anon and I know that.

Now… when the pluripotent youth of the nation are being intellectually crippled by an insidious media-entertainment complex, and “someone” shuts down the entertainment half of the equation so that the youth have to experience life outside of the “PlayStation Network”, well, that does border on “uncivil disobedience”… but it is still a 100% legitimate action to take in the battle to save a free humanity… and only an NWO hypocrite (such as all FT editors and journalists) would try to spin this in the way that FT did.
