Congratulations on taking a joke Tretton and Pachter shared over pricing totally out of context to fuel your hate. Pachter said he thought the NGP was amazing, but that price will probably be a barrier from allowing it to extend beyond the PSP's current demographic because of all the features they're stuffing into it. Seems reasonable to me.

I still cannot understand at all the hate some people give Pachter.....

the guy seems like an incredibly nice person and for the most part is very reasonable and just makes guesses on how he thinks the industry will go.

People jump all over and attack him over nothing.  Its kinda rediculous.


100% with you. I like Pachter, he seems like a cool guy. Ppl flip out about his comments unreasonably and exaggerate them, and I think half the people are just hopping on the bandwagon bc hating Pachter has become the "cool thing to do".

Also, a lot of ppl say he hates PS3 and loves 360. I'm a ps3 guy myself, andI think ppl are just way too sensitive. He may like 360 more for personal tastes, idk; but he keeps his opinions pretty darn unbiased imo. A lot of people just need to grow up and/or calm down.

OT: I haven't been interested in a handheld system since like middle school (12 or so yrs ago), but the NGP honestly looks pretty awesome. Don't get me wrong, 99.9% chance I won't even consider buying it; but, I think it looks like an awesome and well-made and thought out portable console (unlike the PSP imo).

Main thing I care about is (exclusive) GAMES for ps3. That's always been my main attraction to the ps3.

I hope Epic starts making Gears for ps3 in the future, but idt they would ever make the announcement at E3 on Sony's stage. I think that would look to much like a stab in the back to Microsoft, and Epic (or just Cliffy B.?) seems too loyal to Microsoft to do that. Here's to hoping though. I've never gotten to play a Gears game, but they look like great games.
