sure they are, as long as quality stays high.  I would love to play a Halo and Gears and Assassins Creed every single year as long as its not just lame rehashes.  Considering how amazing Brotherhood and AC2 were, hell yeah, bring Creed on every year baby!

The yearly franchise = a bad thing is a myth for the most part.  People like to say that but its only true when games don't evolve and quality dips like what happened with Guitar Hero.  COD has continued to have great quality for the most part so who cares if its yearly.  Obviously the consumer doesn't care considering COD and AC have had incredible sales and they're yearly franchises now.

I would LOVE to play a AC game per year if it's the quality of AC II and Brotherhood. Revelations is going to be no different. It's gonna be amazing!

I can't lie...I am disappointed. I was really hoping for ACIII which as of right now I'm not sure will make it out this gen. As long as quality and content remain's on par or exceeds ACII and Brotherhood I'll be happy. With that said.....Ubisoft I want AC3 to be in JAPAN during the Samurai-Ninja war? Can you imagine Samurai Templars? 

this was disappointing i was expecting something new (AC3) and instead we get this, this milking. Shame on you Ubisoft

I find it hilarious when people try to say AC is milking a franchise.

Considering how different and vastly improved each game has been over the other it blows me away ANYONE could accuse them of milking.

Especially since each one has been in an entirely different setting.  You do realize the only thing thats conistant with the franchise right now is Ezio?  Most franchises use the same character so who cares if they make 3 games with him? 

Ugh Ubisoft is getting lazy if Constantinople (Istanbul) in the early 1500s is all we get.

A new AC each year for the last 3?? is this what i want a great franchise to turn into - not really.

i would prefer a sequel to Prince of Persia 2008 Ubisoft than a new AC each year.

Well I'm excited to see where it goes (although wish they'd lay off the multiplayer still) but I still kinda want them to progress onwards to the next assassin.  I mean I like Ezio and glad to see Altair and Desmond play a larger role in this one as well, but I would like to see them move along with the story.  I guess it is possible the "3rd one" is taking longer to make than previously thought but oh well.

Either way, I'm still excited for any AC console game so can't wait for more details.  Assassin's Creed is one of my favorite franchises of this generation and all-time so can't wait.

YES!! I love Assassin's Creed. Crazy good games, the very best in the action-adventure genre.
