There's an official thread to prevent clutter. Let's use it.

That seems like a huuuuuuuuge mistake.

There is so much information still developing, having one large monolithic thread almost gurantees important information will be lost to people who just don't want to sit through 4 pages of arguements like

"It's ok though because someone else might get more worse hacked down the line!"

That's why there usually aren't "Official threads" like that... and only for games, where there is going to be less pointless squabble.

I mean the "Xbox 360 dev says Sony should of expected consumer retaliation story probably would go 200 posts itself between back and forth  "What sony did was bad"  "No it wasn't I mean what about RROD."

Then you might miss that the attorny general has started a probe into the issue.

I don't expect these threads to stop, but my thread is mainly for info and facts. I don't care for the bickering and arguing, which has plagued everyone of those other threads.

That is completely at odds with what I replied to...

You said it would be a huge mistake to put everything in an/the Official Thread. My reply tackles that very thought. I'm not following.

Your original post suggests putting things in the official thread to avoid clutter, and that this thread shouldn't of been made...

It is the length of time that it took before notifying customer which also troubles me. They should of been more proactive and notified customers as soon as they became aware of a possible breach not when they had spent a week verfying the breach. This is an astounding level of arrogance and says to me they were gonna try and bury it if they could but they eventually realised they could not.
