My picks: Dragon's Dogma (Capcom) Capcom's new open world multiplayer adventure game is launching in the first half of 2012 which makes it prime Cafe porting material. Improved performance and possible local co-op (thanks to individual screens) might mean this would be the version to get too. Would make the perfect MT Framework showpiece. Super Street Fighter IV: Arcade Edition (Capcom / DIMPs) After the super successful port to 3DS, Street Fighter's console homecoming seems more like an inevitability. It's so late though, I'm starting to wonder if they might have to throw in some additional characters or modes to sweeten the deal? Marvel Vs. Capcom 3: Fate of Two Worlds (Capcom / 8ing) Same deal as SSF4, this seems like an easy fit, but they'll have to give it some more value due to the timelines involved. Maybe it'll be Super MVC3? Dragon Ball Zenkai Battle Royale (Bandai Namco / Spike) Same deal as Gundam, only this probably won't be ready until 2013. DBZ has always been on Nintendo platforms though, Spike's fighters in particular. Tales of Xillia (Namco Bandai / Namco Tales Studio) PS3 will likely hold on to this for year's exclusive, but I wouldn't be surprised to see an expanded port hit Cafe down the line. Same thing happened with Symphonia and Vesperia. Metal Gear Solid: Rising (Konami / Kojima Productions) Coming in late 2012, adding in a Wii release just makes sense. Kojima's gotten much friendlier towards Nintendo in recent years, plus Wiimote Plus slashing could be a draw.
Sonic Generations (Sega / Sonic Team) So obvious it hurts. Even Nintendo Power is teasing this one. Ninja Gaiden III (Tecmo Koei / Team Ninja) This is a sneaking suspicion, but I'm pretty sure this has always been a Wii 2 game. Tecmo's been nothing but coy and evasive about it's platform, and it's looking like this could be the reason why... the only real question in my mind is if it's also hitting 360/PS3 or if Nintendo tied it up as an exclusive? Making things more interesting is that NCL and Team Ninja have gotten awfully close recently (Other M, DOAD). |
I'd also include Devil May Cry 5, Max Payne 3, Saints Row 3, and Treyarch's next Call of Duty.
