Forums - Gaming - Mass Effect 3 delayed into 2012!

I think Dragon Age 2 shows the bad things that can happen to a game if it's not given enough time in the oven. I'm not glad that ME3 has been delayed, per se, because I would very much like to play it as soon as possible. But if the team needs more time to develop it, I'm fine with the delay, partly because this is the first one (hear that, Mr Ueda?) and partly because there are still plenty of games to play this holiday (though the cynic in me says that this fact is changing fast )

well when it comes to mutiplats maybe not but if you count exclusives for both platforms this holiday will be games galore.

then theirs skyrim which can be considered by itself a good holiday line up.

im sorry.

but atleast youl be able to play other games

and skyrim!

yes but none of those games are ME3!

Ouch!. Bad news for me. That's one of my two must wanted games this year (the other being Zelda).

Well, let's hope this means an even better game.

Please excuse my bad English.

Former gaming PC: i5-4670k@stock (for now), 16Gb RAM 1600 MHz and a GTX 1070

Current gaming PC: R5-7600, 32GB RAM 6000MT/s (CL30) and a RX 9060XT 16GB

Steam / Live / NNID : jonxiquet    Add me if you want, but I'm a single player gamer.

sad to hear it getting delayed, but I think there are too many games this year anyway, and there was going to be heavy competition from Skyrim, as well as that they were also releasing The Old Republic this year, which is their only announced project besides ME3, so I think spacing them out is good, should also help with post release ToR support

Gives them time to port 2 and 3 to Wii2.

Guess I might as well get the ps3 version some time to freshen up on 1 and 2, cause I already can hardly remember what choices I made. Next story heavy trilogy I might as well just wait until all 3 are finished. The coiches carrying over between 1 and 2 were lost on me. (First of all because I lost the save game, but still I can't even remember what the heck I did with the council in my playthrough 3.5 years ago)

I like this tradition of delays as it keeps a better distribution of good releases throughout the year. If it had com out during the holidays I probably would have bought it used many months later. A possible win for ME for making profit. Smart move.

Indeed. Usually why I rarely complain about these things, leaves more room for polish and for my wallet to fatten.

When you like alot of games and know you can't play them all, this type of news becomes a good thing. Sometimes better things come from waiting!

not unexpected.  <--- see what i did there, double negatives ftw. xD

anyways, in a related topic ... i literally just noticed that mass effect 2 wasn't on my wishlist anymore.  figuring i must have accidently deleted it i searched to put it back on and it turns out amazon doesn't carry the ps3 version anymore.  oh man that must have bombed.

Dude, my wife is laughing her ass off about that gif in your sig. She wants to know if Obama really kicked a door like that :) Oh, and when did that happen?

I'm glad, now I don't have to rush through Uncharted to play Mass Effect, and I can leave all of 2012 to Mass Effect alone.
