No I guess not, but tbh with so many requirements for something to be AAA I can't really think of any HD AAA games that have bombed either.  Maybe Rock Band 3, but that was a bomb for all consoles.

That's the whole point of this thread.

To show that Wii games bomb only due to 3rd parties consiparacy or incompetence ;)

That wasn't the point, but a variant of that point seems to have a lot of evidence - that 3rd party games tend to succeed when they get close to the care and budget (both in terms of development and advertising)  big HD releases get.

I don't see what advertising or budget has to do with any of it

Actually, it does. When you invest big into a title, you'd want to invest big into advertising to sell your original investment.

When it's cheap to make your game and you're unsure if it would sell. You'd probably prefer to save on the the advertising.

Just Dance 2 AAA!

Just Dance 2 got the advertising and the sales. I doubt it cost much to make.

Can we define AAA first

To me a AAA game is a high budget, well reviewed, well advertised game, and IMO at 5 million LTD sales.

5 mil seems high....

The first 3 are generally the indicator of a AAA game though.
