Actually, you can watch Netflix on the PS3, even with the network down. It might be a glitch but if you try logging into PSN when you try watching Netflix, it will notify you that the network is under maintenance. If you exit that screen, Netflix will continue loading in the background. It will then notify you once again that you must be logged in to use Netfix. However, if you try log in and wait till it says network is under maintenace, then exit that screen once more, Netflix is completely loaded and usable. Hope this makes sense. =)

I did this method but it the login always pop up and then the maintenance message so it is pointless for now...
