I just realised something, the heads of Sony are handsome as fuck. Damn they look sleek and swanky in those suits and their hair is smooth as hell. It's like watching a Yakuza 3 cutscene.

share pics..

If he asked me to pull down my pants and do the macarena, you better believe I'd be dancing within the second.

Bet with Conegamer and AussieGecko that the PS3 will have more exclusives in 2011 than the Wii or 360... or something.

I honestly don't understand what more some of you want from Sony. Yeah, they made a mistake. They have been getting called out for it for almost 10 days now. Now stop and give them some fucking credit for a minute. They have rebuilt the entire system within 2ish weeks and are offering incentives due to your lost ability to play on a FREE service that THEY offer and YOU don't pay for (excluding PSN Plus members of course). This is a horrible situation and Sony should take some of the responsibility, which they have, but many of your are putting a 100% full force blame on Sony disregarding that the actual criminal here is the HACKER or (S).

Now there has been no proof that anyone identity (which I can get out of the phone book by the way with the information that was stolen) or your CC numbers have been taken. Until that time if it ever comes, pipe down a little.

I for one am happy that Kaz took on the media here and actually bowed at them (that's a lot of humility coming from a Japanese person). I respect that they're working hard. Also they are willing to cover credit card changes.

Even if they don't have evidence of credit cards been raken, they offer to cover the costs of credit cards changes.

This really shows their commitment to make ammends on not having sufficient security beforehand.

While it doesn't excuse them in any way for their mistake, it is a very commendable attitude. Well done.

not sure what you mean. Activate what exactly?

They give PS to everbody but the Ps Store isn't up yet, that'd be fun. (but I hope they don't screw it like that)

You keep forgetting that on this site, plus signs don't work unlessn you type % 2 B(Without Spaces) .

the most interesting one is only 7.5 million accounts in Japan.

japanese people must really not care about online

Only 6.5mill PS3 have been sold in Japan..so its not bad, more accounts than users.

Yes but PSN includes PSP users. That's why it's odd that it's so low with Monster Hunter and stuff.

Apologies accepted Sony.

I got that from... security experts in the field.  Also from people I know who in fact have gotten credit in other peoples name.

So... direct expierence and expert testimony.

Banks actually aren't required to get your SS# for example.

http://dailypaul.com/106790/opening-a-bank-account-without-an-social-security-number

There is plenty you can pull.  Heck my friend didn't need anything but a Name and an adress to get a credit card in his dad's name.

Then that was that bank's fault if that ever even happened.  And there are certain circumstances where the bank is required to obtain your SSN.  http://cpsr.org/issues/privacy/ssn-private/

Under Banks: "Banks and various others are required by the IRS to report the SSNs of account holders to whom they pay interest. If you don't tell them your number you will probably either be refused an account or be charged a penalty such as withholding of taxes on your interest."

Also, I find it funny how on that "expert's" website, there is a disclaimer that reads "Disclaimer: I am not an attorney or a professional financial advisor. Information you obtain from this website should not be considered as legal or financial planning advice. You should consult with a consumer attorney for legal advice and an accountant for individualized financial planning."  And nowhere on her site does it say that she went to business or law school to become this "expert", it is all only from personal experience.

Finally, if what you suggest is even true, getting a credit card with only your name and address, than I got some work to do cause I'm going to go in the phone book and start up hundreds of thousands of accounts.

yes some people are complaining that they are doing free trial to psn plus. saying its silly

also complaining about them saying "it wont happen again"

what do you expect them to do.

they rebuilt their network,  made it more secure, giving away free stuff, offering to pay for CC replacement, and help to prevent ID theft.

on top of that any of the information that was actually stolen, can be easily found on facebook ir the phone book. and people are saying they would have preferred that their CC# or SS# were stolen over the info that was.

i dont get some people, some people just bitch to bitch.

what would they have wanted sony to do.
