Forums - Sony - God of War 4 to have online multiplayer!

Well guys I was already hyped up when I heard GOW 4 would be coming out in september 2012. As far as I know September was always a great month for 360 because of Halo games and now Gears 3. Seems like next year will be different. By the way God of war is one of the really good series that sells incredbly well without multiplayer. But that will be no longer. Well I found out that God of War 4 will have online multiplayer by readng this article. Damn already hyped up for 2012! If your too lazy to read the article I'll explain it to you. Recently GOW 4 was announced. Well now some people found out that Sony Computer Entertainment America’s Santa Monica division has recently posted a job listing looking for a “senior online programmer” that can handle networking needs such as matchmaking and leaderboards! This means that the new God of War will have multiplayer! Sadly there is no offical annocement but looks like God of War 4 might have Online Multiplayer. Anyways the link is here. Sony Santa Monica assists many other studios in the development of their titles, plus they're rumored to be working on a new IP in addition to more God of War.  It's a bit of a stretch to assume God of War IV will be getting online mutiplayer just because of this.

It won't neccesarily- and hopefully they won't tack on some inevitably crappy multiplayer and instead focus on single player.

Probably some competitive or co-op games. Not actual combat with other players. I think Dante's Inferno had something like that. Atleast I remember they were planning to add that.
