So it's between Uncharted and SMG if you ask me. As much as SMG is the favorite in that matchup. I say Uncharted steals the win in this one. (though it's been rumored that it was leaked that SMG wins.)

uncharted got a 9.1 on IGN!! there's no way that it will be game of the year!! it's hard to believe it but the psp actually has a game that's mentioned about! usually, game sites give the game of the year to the highest rated game on their site. bioshock and galaxy both have 9.7!! it's mainly between them. (call of duty 4 got a 9.5.)

Keep in mind a review is only done by 1 person. Usually the person who likes that Genre best, while Game of the Year is picked by many people.

It is strange, IGN's wiik in review usually put it between Mass effect and Galaxy (Bozon and Cassamassina guessing what everyone else would vote for) but mass effect didn't even win GOTY for the 360. They said one of the big things working against galaxy is that alot of people at IGN hadn't even played it, so it's kind of hard to guess how that will turn out.

I'm putting my money on Galaxy as well.

Good diversity of games there. Not as heavy on shooters (HALO3, Orange Box, etc) as I expected, which takes away one SMG's main advantages. Really, before worrying about which title should win, why don't we just all take a minute to thank the Gaming Gods for a fantastic year?

It's between BioShock and Galaxy. (why isn't The Orange Box on there? second best game this year)

sad mass effect deserves to be up there easily.....

i hope galaxy wins since it seems 360 wont (why COD?) and uncharted doesnt deserve it IMO



                 With regard to Call of Duty 4 having an ultra short single player campaign, I guess it may well have been due to the size limitations of DVD on the XBox 360, one of various limitations multi-platform game designers will have to take into consideration-Mike B

Game trailers-Halo 3 only dissapointed the people who wanted to be dissapointed.

Bet with Harvey Birdman that Lost Odyssey will sell more then Blue dragon did.
