andriasang offers some clarification:

  • Nintendo will be releasing one Wii title a month starting in May. The schedule is: Pandora's Tower (May), 007 Golden Eye (June), Wiimote Plus Variety (July), and Rhythm Heaven (summer). Zelda Skyward Sword, Kirby and Just Dance 2 are all due in calendar 2011 too.

Bleh!! Once again I am let down by my expectations as a Wii owner...

wtf? Both games are already released!

can you explain this, please! (Kirby too, but there is another one in works)

it was a Japanese conference, hence they are referring to releases in Japan only...

edit: kirby is indeed new

Until you've played it, every game is a system seller!

This is for Japan.

The only games that have my interest are Zelda Skyward sword, pandoras Tower, and The Last Story. I really hope that atleast 2 out of three of these games release. After these games are bought, I wont buy any more that the Wii offers because there is vitually nothing left of my radar. Wii 2 is coming out at the right time. However, I may not buy that either as Im looking forward to the new PS or Xbox.

  • Vitality sensor still in development

Worse news all week.

Well, let's see what they can do. Q1 sales were beyond horrid, but I suppose there's a chance they can change things with the VS, a price cut and more constant releases.

at this point I am confused as hell...

why go through all the trouble of marketing the hell outta motion plus, bundling it with the system, redesigning the controller to incorporate it, if all they planned was to have two titles use the thing?

I mean resort was bundled with the addon, and fling-smash obviously doesn't count... Either there was a change of plans internally or they intend to keep supporting the thing... it just doesn't add up otherwise. Nintendo aren't great at supporting their peripherals, but why spend money making the remote-plus if it didn't serve any purpose? That is very atypical of them imo...

you answered your own question ... it seems to me nintendo has ADD.

I suggest shorting Nintendo until the stock dips below $24, then buy and prosper.
