Forums - Sony - PSN down for five days, Sony warns of “time intensive” fix

That's why I use PSN/XBL/Wii game cards instead of using my credit card. This way if something bad happens than I can at least know my monies will be safe ^^

Same ^^

Good work, Sony. Always thinking of your customers.

WHERE IS MY KORORINPA 3

I'm starting to miss Bad Company 2 Sony. :/

Do people really think that a client side hack has anything to do with a server side hack? If PSN has been compromised, it's because gaps in the servers architecture, it doesn't have anything to do with a client side hack. You can connect to PSN via PC, and there isn't anything more open than a PC. Please, think by yourselves, and don't believe everything you read in the Internet. Anon in this case is perfect for Sony, they can use them as a distraction of the real problem, and that's a hole in their network security.

PSN is down don't really care I have single player games to tide me over.

Mortal Kombat's Challenge tower

Mass Effect 2

Bad company 1,2

Assassins Creed Brotherhood

:D I am ok

To be honest I can't understand how anyone can be mad at Sony because PSN is down. PSN is a free service and Sony can choose to take it down whenever they choose without reason. Now in the case of the people who pay for PSN Plus I can understand some anger if either they don't get a refund for days missed or an extension on their sub time due to the outage.

I have tons of PSP/DS/PS3/360 (ODST was shit, I'm angry Bungie!!!!!!) games as well as MMOs to play. So I am good for the forseable future.

We paid for the console, we paid for the games, and sometimes paid for the PSN games.....

But just because we didn't pay for the service itself, does that mean we should expect inferior quality and some occasional downtime?

In a sense: Yes. These types of things are to be expected. Sony is operating the network off of their own money supply not off of consumers (except those of PS Plus).
