So I was looking to pick up Super Street Fighter IV with a fightpad, but Capcom announced Super Street Fighter IV: Arcade Edition last week. Should I wait for the Arcade Edition? Are all the balance fixes, new characters, and update replay channels going to be worth it, or am I better off just getting the current edition?

you can always get the 3DS one in the mean time as it's not entirely a double use (it's on the go).

Is it really? I thought they said it was a standalone retail disc. Amazon has it up already, but they've made mistakes before. I've thought about getting the 3DS version whenever I do get one. Perhaps I may double dip if I really enjoy it!

It can bought through DLC (if you have super street fighter 4) or retail.This time Amazon is not wrong.
