graphics it's only one of variables.

 sonyans often speak about graphics and "coolness" as the most important variables in buying a console...

 and then they play old roms on psp emulators due lack of good games...!!!!!!!

sony now can hardly get 35% of global market...

and things may be worse... 

ps1,2,3 without hype of these years would have been a failure...

we see now that microzozz buys most of time exclusives...

i see microsft and sony kill eachothers ...

their consoles are faulty,expansive,old, pc-like, ...

 i got nes,snes,n64,cube,wii,gb,gba,ds...all working...

my brother is a old squaresoft fan,so he has a ps1 and a ps2....NOT working...

now he got second hand slim versions of both... :(

but also pads are really rubbish...

IMHO best ever pad(design,mechanic etc.) is snes pad for 2d and n64 pad for 3d.

microsoft pads are copies of sega experience...(winCE was a troyan horse to enter games market...IMHO)

I like to play games period. All systems, the fact of the matter is I am not biased, yes I am burned by sony. I was merely venting my frustrations about their manufacturing period, ie tv's and dvd players etc.

People need to really read and think before they write, Only one person had something negative to say, and this individual wrote before they read. Grow up! All the other posts are great, just one that I didnt appreciate.

The whole basis of having an opinion is listening to someone and not taking out one sentance to benefit the other individual. I preffer my wii over my ps3, but hey call me a sony fan, after all you are entitled to your opinion.

No Quartz, it wasnt you, your input is definately appreciated, it was chubear's accusations at the bottom, basically accusing me of lies/ being biased. with that attitude of CHUBEAR, well i guess we know what system, is the system of choice.  I don't think we should knock one another. I started the post to see how many people agree with me on the defective products. I could go on with other companies etc, but this is a video game post. since sony is making systems I fealt it appropriate to start the post. I could go on about windows progrms about microsoft, but I was specifically targeting video games systems as much as possible.  Again, what you wrote was fine , it was CHUBEAR's not reading everything I wrote, I think CHUBEAR read a few sentances then dictacted the rest without even thinking of a respnes. I personally take offense to being accused by CHUBEAR's verbage

I have been so unlucky in the past, I had so many defective video game units: 1 snes, 2 playstations, 1 ps2, 1 gameboy, 1 xbox (it ate two copies of fable, and 1 copy of kotor), and 2 xbox 360s. My old xbox 360 just took out my copy of geow, and oblivion.

the only consoles that gave me problems was the playstion 2.. dam thing kept breaking.. made me think those things were bulit to break.. which is part of the reason i got a 360.. thought the hardware quality would be better.. Wrong... got the 3 rings of death a month after i got it.. back then the warranty was 90 days so it covered it..so i got another one it broke 150 days later so the warranty didnt cover it and they wouldnt send me a new one... so i wasnt gonna buy a new one since microsoft screwed me over. plus the fact that i was hearing that i wasn the only person this was happening to.. the playstion 3 is so far the best quality of hardware... it better had been for 600... i hardly hear of anything about it breaking or overheating... but the year isnt over yet so  i dont wanna jinx myself...

I normally haven't had any reliability issues with Sony products, but last weekend I had to buy another PS2 because the one I had for five years (and three repairs) conked out on me again.

None of the other consoles I've owned have ever pooped out on me.

ok for those of you to young to know. Blowing did not work on NES games. This is the trick you had to do.

1) Put cartrige into console.

2) turn console on and it would flicker

 3) Now press and hold in the reset button so the screen stops flickering.

4) hit the nes on the right side of the console once

5) release the reset button and game should load.

I saw a 360 with a red ring of death at a store the other day. It was funny, because the box was in a display case, sitting exactly where it had been for the last 14 months.
