Forums - Gaming Discussion - RE:4 Wii edition ad

here the ad, very corny and cheesy, for the wii edition of RE:4

http://www.cubed3.com/news/7302/1/1st_Trailer_of_Resident_Evil_4_Wii_Edition

beside the silly aspect, it really makes me want to play it, since i never touched the GC edition. I wanted to buy it but was weary of the pad controls. this thrills me... and btw , the graphics are looking very nice and much better thant what i saw on the RE: umbrella corp. trailers.

what do you think?

edit: link for RE:UC trailer (already posted elsewhere but just to compare): http://www.cubed3.com/news/7296/1/First_RE4_Wii_&_2nd_Resident_Evil:_The_Umbrella_Chronicles_Trailers

It think that I rather would go for RE:UC if they got the speed up and the length, looks like a great game. Not that happy with all these remakes.

Buy it and pray to the gods of Sigs: Naznatips!

Oh man, that was unbelievably cheesy.

i understand your point of view, but looking at the GC sales, Nintendo must have realized that remakes of their GC games for Wii, which will get a much much bigger user base, are going to be, not only good at printing easy money, but also allow them to avoid any drought of games (for most of the userbase, GC owner excepted).

edit: yes it is very cheesy, but really fits the nintendo ads that we've seen, and hopefully to be taken on a 2nd level...

Yup like one one of those B-rated horror flicks, I lol'd

Predictions:Sales of Wii Fit will surpass the combined sales of the Grand Theft Auto franchiseLifetime sales of Wii will surpass the combined sales of the entire Playstation family of consoles by 12/31/2015 Wii hardware sales will surpass the total hardware sales of the PS2 by 12/31/2010 Wii will have 50% marketshare or more by the end of 2008 (I was wrong!!  It was a little over 48% only)Wii will surpass 45 Million in lifetime sales by the end of 2008 (I was wrong!!  Nintendo Financials showed it fell slightly short of 45 million shipped by end of 2008)Wii will surpass 80 Million in lifetime sales by the end of 2009 (I was wrong!! Wii didn't even get to 70 Million)

I expect the point of Wiimakes is to rapidly produce a library of budget titles which will apeal to the masses. It may sound odd but back in the day one of the biggest selling features of the Playstation over the N64 was that there was a massive library of "Platinum" games for $19.99

Well it's a great game to pick up it you missed it on the GC or PS2

Nintendo and budget games... makes me think of Super Smash Brothers for the GC. Last time I checked it's price it was still 30$

The control system in GC's RE4 is one of the best I've ever touched. It actually invented the whole 2nd person perspective, which has been succesfully copied to games such as Gears of War. I don't think they can make better controls for the Wii. The graphics seem to be the same as in the GC version.
