It's not rocket science really. Given the current ps3 sales it makes no sense to focus your development on projects for the console. If you are going to lose money, at least try to not lose a lot.

Now the development team of Haze perhaps can work on something that may actually be profitable.

Its doing great now, so its not selling as well as your lord and saviour Wii, it doesn't mean that its not selling well. Its doing as or better than the 360. No you should be the one banned, thats a huge insult and enough with the language, ive called him an ass before but Mother F#$#$ is stepping over the line. His lord is not the wii, sorry if he prefers a console instead of yours.

Its doing the same as the 360, and in terms of software its being crushed, its facts and deal with it. Every single huge title besides a few have been huge flops for sony, why would anyone want to make games on it is a fact so you deal with it and take YOUR fanboyism and go away.

Well all the previews I read said the game had quite a few problems, and that it was going to be hard to fix them all, especially their gripes with the gameplay, before the initial release. Wasn't surprised at all it got delayed, but August of next year seems unlikely.

If this game is delayed until Aug 2008 then WTF? Ubi went and put out magazine ads on Haze in November, lots of them, and thats not the sort of thing you do unless a game is going to release very shortly. If this has happened then it means some major event screwed up development.

My bet is they realized that the game they had wasn't working the way they had hoped. In all the previews the drug concept sounded interesting, but in the gameplay vids it worked out to be nothing more than causing your opponents to have an overdose through different means, which isn't very interesting or unique. Hopefully Free Radical saw the problems in this and decided to give the game a major overhaul and work through the drug concept to something worth while. 

 

And given the (relatively) poor sales of PS3 exclusives I wouldn't be surprised if that had something to do with the display. R&C looks like its going to finally break 500k months after release. That sort of performance is something thats unacceptable when a game costs millions to develop. And I'm sure the performance of some 3rd party exclusives on the 360 only served to make this poor performance even clearer (Bioshock). Then again AC and COD did very well on the PS3, but UT3 hasn't done well at all.

Who to believe?

Seeing as Free Radical is based in the UK, and the fact that the UK Haze website was the first to drop the 360 and PC logos back during the ps3 exclusivity rumors phase, I'm gonna have to go with the UK website.  They generally know what's what and get the news (in regards to Haze) first.

I wouldn't be surprised if it ceased being a PS3 exclusive. My understanding was that Ubisoft decided to do it as a timed exclusive on the PS3 because the 360 market was too crowded in Fall 2007. With the release date slipping, maybe they will re-think exclusivity, especially given the economics involved. Heck, maybe 360 development is causing delays for once.

I don't believe it has anything to do with 360. It's a ps3 exclusive until they say otherwise. I'm just annoyed with the delays of this game. Why do they have to do it so close to the release date?
