No: Lynch

If I live until tommorow, you all will see why I was trying to stop a lynch

Tomorrow's going to be pretty interesting then, either because you're alive and something truly remarkable happened, or didn't and you're frantically explaining this, or you're dead and (whatever based on the flip).

If it works, it will be good for the game. I have a feeling this no no "vanilla game" .

Now that we're in twilight, I'd like to say that "absorbing the game style" is not a good excuse for lurking.

FYI, I'm making a new thread #day start. This thread is broken. I know who broke it too ... Linkz -_-

Did I? Which post was it? With your permission I could just edit the post and fix the thread.

Well, I did some very quick reasoning, and actually proved to myself that lynching today has several possibilities of making the game shorter.

I got a question for you guys.  Has it ever been a strategy of an SK to be completely and totally adament that there must not be an SK that game?  It seems risky, for it would be easy to make a mistake, but I just want your opinions.

Also, you speak of how worthless a lot of posts are, I really must ask Linkz, or somebody else doing potals, how many of Linkz comments have been worthless, because I went through all his posts again yesterday and got essentially nothing except bickering and being up to no good.

Please enlighten me on some of the possibilities where the game would be shorter with a lynch today compared to a no lynch. Obviously there's not much time left today and no lynch is already sealed, but I'd love to hear it day two if we're both alive or simply after the round is over.

It is a possible strategy; however, since you're implying I'm an SK I would agree that it'd be extremely risky since a night one with two kills is a pretty clear indicator that there is in fact an SK.  I don't believe in SKs having the option not to kill, so even if I ever landed the role and was given that choice I wouldn't take it. It's unfair to the other factions to pop up night three or so and start killing and sweep the game. So if there's two kills tonight and no vig(once again, very likely a bad idea to shoot tonight) comes forward, then you go right ahead and push for my lynch.

You call them bickering and being up to no good. I call it scumhunting. Gotta wait on a third party or multiples to voice their opinion.

This is still missing votes with their respective unvotes. But at least all the current votes were presented.

Please do, because stupid paranoia was already countered by sound logic which shows that a day one lynch is a better option than no lynch.

How many players is the right amount for a day one lynch, ABC?

I would say at least 15 minimum, we already have only 10 active players now (look at your own votals http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/post.php?id=4016632). A lynch between 10 active players? What happens when the lynch is wrong? What happens when one of the lurkers turns out to be a Doc or Vig that doesn't know what to do because they weren't looking at the thread and choses a random night target?

Finally a straight answer to a question. I would argue that your logic makes less sense considering your fear of lynching in this game. With more players the odds of an SK/second mafia faction increases as well as other killing roles, which would make your idea of 3 night kills more plausible and thus you should want to no lynch even more to keep the number of players higher going into day two.

I'd trim that number further to about 6, but really there being inactive players is all the more reason to lynch. Scum is unlikely to pick off the lurkers and then as active players dwindle there won't be anyone left to actually get lynches going and catch scum. Also you keep on insisting the lynch will be wrong, when there's a chance it could go right.

How does a lurking power role have anything to do with whether to lynch or not? If anything, they're more likely to choose correctly with a smaller player pool after a lynch, as you correctly intrepreted one of my statements earlier.

It's the one where you have 2 quotes boxes stuck together. A few posts before I said something like, 'What? How did the thread break.'

meh just leave it. I dunno if it will fix anything, although ... I broke a thread by sticking a few quote boxes together and dunno01 fixed it somehow.

That wasn't just a random shot at ABC, skimming the thread really drove home how much his go-to defense is non sequiturs.  I don't know why anyone isn't voting him unless they're phobic of first day lynches.

I remember -- I think it was the first game he played here -- I unvoted him because he was being so unbelievably scummy I didn't think anyone who was actually scum would be that bad at hiding; I concluded he was innocent and completely flailing around.

He was scum.

I'm going to admit I have a slight town read on you(and Wonk now for that matter), though I'm still nuetral on TOS. If ABC is town I can't see other scum(as in TOS or you are also) being so afraid to join in on the lynch train, when most of the suspicion would be on me for it going wrong. Though if I were scum I'd be perfectly content with idling along with just about everyone else and letting town forfeit a chance at lynching my team.

EBWOP: So I'm left wondering if scum are a bit inexperienced, or far too experienced. Heh
