I would say at least 15 minimum, we already have only 10 active players now (look at your own votals http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/post.php?id=4016632). A lynch between 10 active players? What happens when the lynch is wrong? What happens when one of the lurkers turns out to be a Doc or Vig that doesn't know what to do because they weren't looking at the thread and choses a random night target?

FYI baal is arguing with prof (yes?) on this, the opposit view has already been pointed out, so there really is no need for this mockery.

The whole point being that if you end up losing on a night kill, then a first day misslynch is costing you a day and that last day has all the information available from previous days to make the lynch descision, so it is a much more important day than the first one. The counter agrument should be that the first day info is carried to all the other days improving them and that the last day only has a possibility of happening.

It's really a matter of prefering the assurance of a little bit of info for everyday against the possibility of an extra day with the town at max info.

I hardly see how you can make a mockery of people chosing the second option.

Considering I've shown that with or without an SK there will be no extra day with a no lynch today, but would give up a chance at lynching scum, I simply can see no reason to consider it. I certainly think no lynch is a fine idea on a later day after say a doc save or something, but it makes no sense today.

I do apologize for the mocking, it was uncalled for. I won't even be bitter if today ends without a lynch, but it feels like there's only half of the game playing and it's getting to be quite frustrating.

Well, I did some very quick reasoning, and actually proved to myself that lynching today has several possibilities of making the game shorter.

I got a question for you guys.  Has it ever been a strategy of an SK to be completely and totally adament that there must not be an SK that game?  It seems risky, for it would be easy to make a mistake, but I just want your opinions.

Also, you speak of how worthless a lot of posts are, I really must ask Linkz, or somebody else doing potals, how many of Linkz comments have been worthless, because I went through all his posts again yesterday and got essentially nothing except bickering and being up to no good.

there was an SK one time who never killed... the only one doing the killing was the mafia (2 of factions) and the vig.... the SK got lynched for other reasons :p.

So a SK isn't necessarily forced to kill?


A SK is almost always forced to kill, I was one last round and dsister told me after the game he was forced to kill a player by heph.

Disregard the stricken, after skimming the thread I've found nothing on this subject after "My vote on prof was to cause some discussion, and I'm pretty satisfied with what I got from it. Just about anyone would've done fine, but prof was chosen specifically for reasons I still don't care to share."

Unless ... *shudder* ... your explanation of why you're not answering that is "I don't want to".  But I would be surprised if it was; you're not ABC.

That wasn't just a random shot at ABC, skimming the thread really drove home how much his go-to defense is non sequiturs.  I don't know why anyone isn't voting him unless they're phobic of first day lynches. 

I remember -- I think it was the first game he played here -- I unvoted him because he was being so unbelievably scummy I didn't think anyone who was actually scum would be that bad at hiding; I concluded he was innocent and completely flailing around. 

He was scum.
