You said that you will vote for someone the next time you get online, so I thought you already had someone in mind... I was just expecting a vote from you since it I understood what you said as:

Next time I come online I will vote for someone

So I felt like you had a specific target to vote for, or just a random vote, considering you haven't voted up until now, I guess I really misunderstood you... but since you said you want to vote for someone day one: Who is the person you would vote for right now (only one name)

linkz had voted prof and unvoted him

all while never saying why he had voted for prof although saying it wasn't random.org

I know it's hard to follow, but Stefl was originally quoting my unvote post of prof. I get the feeling that you're sort of defending me, but also subtley trying to place suspicion on me.

I'm not going to give as many reasons for my vote on ABC as I could. If I do then there wouldn't be anything left for others to justify a vote besides parroting me. I also want to leave some of them out to see if anyone else picks up on them independently. Since I plan on pushing for his lynch, I will resort to pointing them out to convince others if need be.

First this post does a great job of explaining why I've gone from noticing scum tells but having a town gut feeling to ignoring the feeling and voting.

Here is one of the scum tells I was refering to. ABC feels the need to defend himself against a baseless vote. That's an overreaction to something that would most likely prove inconsequential as far as surviving the day. Combine that with the above, and it's extremely odd that he didn't respond/try to defend himself against the threat of a vote and a push for his lynch. I am reminded of the round where we were scummates and he was more than content to let votes pile on him with seemingly no care.

Before I go to sleep, I'd also like to say I now suspect that the game hides roles upon death. If we can't roleclaim and we don't have any of the "name=alignment" things I would think that Hatz is trying to make this game hard.

What gives you reason to think roles won't be revealed upon death? We are allowed to roleclaim, however, it has a penalty. This would indicate roles will be revealed so everyone can analyze if the player was actually trying to indicate something without claiming.

Every good host should make themed games such that a nameclaim doesn't confirm a player as town or scum. It doesn't matter whether it is through use of safelists, randomizing characters per faction, or other means.

You doubting vanilla makes me sad though.

Why does that make you sad?
I believe you said that complexity makes it a harder decision to lynch on day 1.

So, you are sad that a day 1 won't happen?

for a few reasons, him not thinking vanilla and having a role probably meas he got a non vanilla role and thus would be able to say that it isn't.

because nonvanilla games have much more luck

and because if more people have strong roles I might just get taken out again  victim of an improper balance to the force :P

1. that's very doubtful. Just because someone *implies* that they have a role doesn't make it so. Remember, mafia is a game about deception. There have been more than a few times where I have acted in a way to draw attention, and others do it too.

2. That's debateable. THe vanilla games we've been playing still had cops and docs, and they are the most influential roles, and completely luck based. (in a way) Keep in mind that roles such as watcher, tracker, etc don't ever see the whole picture.

3. Or maybe you'll get scanned? Or maybe protected like when hat bodyguarded you. I don't see why you're so "worried" about getting taken out.. If anything, the only thing you should be afraid of, as town, is a mafia kill, and that's in every game, not just powered up ones. And yes, I am implying that you're not town. I don't like your answers at all (specifically the last one, though). The first two show very superficial thought processes, almost like you came up with them on the fly.

unvote

vote: wonk

Cult games fall into the "other means" since alignment can change. No name claim last round was the biggest contributor to someone's lynch.

Umh I don't think any of y'all are at risk of a vig kill tonight, but the risk is there (no this is not a softclaim).

I recall someone saying that a Vig is just as risky as a SK for the town (i don't recall exactly, but it might have been Hat (not hat))....and it's very true, why should they believe a town vote that includes mafia rather than their own gutt?(that's why I put my vig in the massons last round, to increase its chances at efficiency).

I see this as a viable balance alternative to the SK, especially since one cannot roleclaim to be protected based on it. Also considering the size of the game, finetunning with soft roles can be a smart way to balance the game... and we know Hat is cunning.

I forgot a "currently" somewhere up there, oh well ^^

"hat" in the votals is "leatherhat"

Thanks for the clarification I totally forgot about him :x.

Quoted for attention!

I find it quite funny that you just voted no lynch (if I got everything right you where even the first one to do so), I think it was still quite early in the game when you did so (I know that there wasn't much going on, which is still the case), but I think you no lynch vote came a little to rushed, I know that one vote at that time isn't much but care to give a in-depth analysis why a no lynch right now is the best option?

I voted at the time what I thought was the best opinion, with no one standing out in particular at that time and nothing but a few speculations of few people to go on, without any concrete evidence I voted no lynch due to the fact that last game, similar instance occured where people bandwagoned the town roleblocker and that was the first day lynch, although last game was pretty unbalanced in town's favour, lynching the roleblocker has caused us even more grief. So it's not more of an analysis but more of extra cautiousness in regards to the first day lynching.

Disconnect and self destruct, one bullet a time.

As you all can see, final-fan has cleared me by accusing me. Anyone remember "You and ____ are mafia" from the past rounds?

I'm afraid I don't follow you at all here and I sure hope that's not the extent of your defense against the accusations made against you (which I agree with btw like I mentionned in this post : http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/post.php?id=4013185).

Vote: A Bad Clown

I hope it'll give you motivation to come up with a better defense.
