Having two players in my club named after traitors (Dooku and Anakin), I couldn't help but think it was more than a coincidence. Killing you was supposed to clear up whether we actually had one or not, and I didn't expect zexen to actually off the other mason. |
Better late than never!
I suppose you thought that I might be mafia basing those questions on my knowledge of a mafia mason? But didn't that conversation take place on the first day, when I couldn't possibly have such knowledge?
On topic, I'm not ready to join the No Lynch bandwagon, yet.

My advice to fanboys: Brag about stuff that's true, not about stuff that's false. Predict stuff that's likely, not stuff that's unlikely. You will be happier, and we will be happier.

I have the most epic death scene ever in VGChartz Mafia. Thanks WordsofWisdom!
Wonktonodi said: I'm surprised you even ask. More vanilla games it's usually tit for tat town lynch for mafia night kill so a lynch today would be a good thing. More complex with many night roles would make it a less simple decision. |
I'm not sure if I fully understand you. What exactly makes it a less simple decision?

Why do you vote proff? |
I would disagree, as I think it says plenty, but obviously you can intrepret it any way you like. TOS's question was answered which was my main intent.
Why do you question my vote after just saying the following?
Wonktonodi said: there's not enough votes out there even the fun joke votes. I'll put a quick vote out soon myself. |
NotStan said: Really nothing to see here, all I've read so far has almost to no content and if we're going to go for the lurkers, we'll be preoccupied for the next several days, because there seem to be quite a few. I see no point of all this speculation/pouncing on slip ups till a night has passed, first day lynches are bad experiences for me thus far - recalling on the Baal lynch last game. Vote: No Lynch |
Actually, although town lost its roleblocker day one that lynch gave a ton of information. If ABC never claimed my death then Radish should've been looked at heavily, and with him flipping scum(although nobody realized it) TOS should've been next on the dock for coming in with the hammer when Baal was in the middle of claiming.
Point is, day one lynches can offer a ton of information even if they're a mislynch. Also it's too early to speculate on setup, but chances are we're looking at one death a night. No lynch today will probably not extend the number of days the game will last, meaning town would give up one of its chances to lynch mafia. Not only that, but it reduces the odds of positive night actions(by town) and the odds of hitting scum.

That's all fine and dandy but that doesn't tell us why you're voting for prof. |
Why didn't you ask for that instead?
Baalzamon said: Vote: No lynch There is a serious lack of evidence up to this point, and I see this as being the best option, at least for the moment. |
No Lynch shouldn't be a placeholder vote. It means you think the day has run its course and there's nothing more to do but go to night and the following day. If you want evidence, then get people talking.

Questionable, remember they killed me night one!
trashleg said: Linkzmax seemed to be a bit insistent on Baalz answering his, what I consider to be, pretty pointless questions (no offence Linkz). I'm utterly rubbish at Day 1 votes. And I've never liked random voting just for the sake of it. Heph took his vote off Wonk jsut after casting it, and I understand why Linkz and Heph might vote randomly (just to get the game going?) but it doesn't really get the game going ANYWHERE if the votes are entirely unfounded. Does it? |
None taken. I do realize it wasn't a very substantial question, but it was the type of question that could catch someone off guard.
As for the votes, I clearly pointed out I didn't use random.org and Heph is the only one that included a reason for his vote. Wonk's vote of Vette is the only one that could be considered random, though I would be making an assumption if I said that it is.

If we have a vig and SK this game I don't know if a day one lynch would work very well. There's a good chance that we'll lynch a townie, and the vig will guess at night 1 so we don't know what will happen. In the worst case of a day one lynch, we will lose 4 townies in the day and night. I don't want the town to lose a good role day one to a lynch train off a comment like what happened to Bazaalmon.
