What it needs are new original games that will be known as NGP games, not console games or games from any other system. Original, new, fresh never been done games that have broad appeal.

Im glad somebody gets it.. NGP needs to stand on its own 2 legs. or analog sticks.

But why not have both?

They can the ratio needs to:

New IPs>>>>>>>>>>>>> console ports

Theres needs to be a fine line thats seperates the machies... i should feel like the NPG is its own self not just a mini PS3

Not necessarily new IPs, but experiences crafted for the system

Ever played Killzone Liberation? That was the perfect way to take an existing home console IP to a portable system, and it was designed around the strengths and weaknesses of the PSP and really worked well

hmm not many ports..few well known ones are fine to get the buzz going but that's about it..even then ps2 ports would work better I think

sony should bring in known IP's to NZGP and KEEP THEM THERE! for good...like Sly for example..I know people might not like this idea but that's how it should be I think....sly and psychonauts ngp plz!

I wouldnt mind them making jak ratchet and sly NGP Xxclusive franchies.( though i dont really care for the last to)

yep and game series like Type 0 and VC should be localized as launch titles too. Franchises like Syphon Filter, Sly, Jak, Psychonauts, Time SPlitters, Heavenly Sword should come to NGP and stay there for good. When using known IP's make them good games that compliment the series well and not just random shallow ones..good example the GOW PSP games..absolutely brilliant games imo.

From the get go they should make use of the multi touch touch screen and the rear touch screen in the games. Not as tacky add ons but ways of immersion. I can think of quite a few ways such controls will be useful in  puzzlers, RPGs and strategy games

well yea... i kinda mentioned that in my old post( MGS PW, OP, Acid) i just forgot to add ot to the ratio( it was suppose to  be in the middle)

but I rather still see fresh ideas going for NGP though

true...nobody argued that

to me..... it seems like you wanna play the same shit you play PS3...which is kinda silly...cuz u have a PS3

even console IPs that are optimized for handhelds are nevr as a big as thier console counterparts becuase ppl would rather just play them on the big screen

xxamples:

Crisis Core

and

Peace Walker

Well I want to be able to play on my PS3 when my PS3 is not there...

If I want mini game type things, that is what my Android is for.  And I think Crisis Core would have worked well on PS3 as well, but for the record, that is one of my favourite PSP games

To really make the system a success, you need to get those non-PS3 consumers. Otherwise you're limiting the audience to only to previous customers which results in stagnation.

Anyone can guess. It takes no effort to throw out lots of predictions and have some of them be correct. You are not and wiser or better for having your guesses be right. Even a blind man can hit the bullseye.

woah woah woah

handheld games DOES NOT equal app shit...thats not what

CC working well on PS3 is my point.. console ports or known ips optimzed for handheld never ever do anywhere near  the console brothers

when mgs and CC were announced ppl complained about them not being  on consoles cuz thats what they are known for consoles everybofy would rather play cansole games or known console IPs on a console... so craating fresh ips or ressurecting old ips and making them xxclusive handheld outings would be the better choice.

you just want a mini ps3..sony already tried that and it failed in a software sense cuz those console games ported to psp all flopped

Well I want app shit for the toilet and lectures, and then a handheld for train journeys basically...

I would have been happier with Crisis Core on PS3, I fundamentally think the gameplay would have worked fine, same with BBS. The games that I have spent the most time with on my PSP recently are the PS1 FFs

maybe you can't say this but i travel a lot.  being able to take my ps3 experience to china (even with downgraded rez to make it compatible with a mobile platform) would be worth a lot to me. like a lot a lot.

yes, i would want games crafted for the mobile Xxperince (ugh) as well but why does it have to be one or the other?  ps3 had big retail releases and small psn releases.  whatever happened to having options?
