Twilight Princess was on a console with lackluster sales. That isn't the case here.



A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.

I don't sense the excitement in this site as I feel elsewhere, this is huge if true.

VGChartz is one of the few places that has actual Nintendo fans, who have been driven out of most other major online gaming outlets. Non-nintendo fans are ironically genuinely more excited about this idea.

The response over at GoNintendo is similarly more middling

I wouldn't say we have actual nintendo fans, we have whinny nintendo fans. People like me and Khuutra (maybe), will love to see what the future holds. 

So first they arent real gamers playing on a real platform but now they are not even Nintendo fans...... lol man this site never gets old

On the one hand I want next gen to begin, on the other hand I want the current gen to last for longer...

Well, if it doesn't launch before the end of 2012 I'm fine with it, but anyway, it's just a rumour at the moment.

I think the PS3 will compete directly with the Wii 2. since there would no point in Sony releasing another HD console to compete with a HD Wii when they already have 1 HD console on the market with massive support already.

the Wii 2 will probabily be similar in price to the PS3 imo, and its not like Nintendo are starting next gen, they joining this gen with a HD console. if that console dosent do things like 3D or blu ray i would not see any point in Sony releasing again.

however Microsoft is a completely different story, the console is finished in Japan, and it looks like it will kick the bucket in Europe, however NA will probabily keep it going for the next few years. however whatever they're plans are, who knows...
