I hope it's an emulation of the SNES version and not the PS1 version.
The PS1 version was awful.

The soundtrack is a lot worse too if i recall correctly. They screwed up the Midi work porting it over.

Yeah, though I wouldn't call it odd. For all it's limitations... "bit sound" was distinctly videogame... and could stir emotion and such with it's simple rythems.
It was a real art.
Now a days... music compesition for games feels more like just trying to make a lesser classical music/movie music.
Feels like taking a step foward to take a step back.
