She should've jsut gone through the scanner. Are there health risks regarding that?

The risk of another 9/11 is zero.

More importantly, the risk of 9/11 is unchanged by this security, because it's been shown that a sufficiently determined person can hide things while going through the scanner.

Ever heard of a casual terrorist, like they're going through the scanner and it beeps and they pull out a gun and he's like 'You got me, but I didn't want to hide it REALLY well cos I'm not srs".

You actually do have a point. The scanners are not the be all and end all of security. At best they should only be used as part of a larger system, they shouldn't be too relied upon.

As I usually say with these threads, we should look at countries that have had teroism problems on planes and study their techniques. I would suggest we check out how isreal does it.

Well. I mean if you were a terrorist.  Hiding weapons or bombs on a kid that may or may not be your relative but is for the purpose of the trip would be a smart move.

If i had a child and some person placed hands on them i would kill them.  This is disgusting and the TSA should be sued for this garbage.

I disagree with this. The TSA is nothing but security theater in my opinion.
