nintendo brought that on themselves. you think 3rd parties dont want their wii games to be hits?

i'm assuming the "rumor" or whatever you want to call it is still true, that MH is coming to the 3DS

BUT the incorrect part was announcing it as this event.  I think they heard that MH is being made and then just assumed that at the next event it would be announced, not taking into account that it is not a japanese focused event.

i mean why would they announce a mh at a western event when you look at how many mh games come to the west, and how big it is in japan.  whatever the next mh game is, we have no guarantee that it even comes to the west, so why would they unveil it to us?

well it was a outstanding situation for the earthquake >.<  In the first place.  

Well since they made every game a fucking on-rails shooter, a casual multiplayer title, or instead, put their shittiest teams on the Wii versions, they obviously should have tried harder, unless you actually expect us to fucking accept, and pay for, Dead Space: deficient edition?

If they're capable of doing SSF4 on 3DS, they were ALWAYS more than capable of creating great content on the Wii, and lets not forget MH3, probably the best 3rd party title on Wii.

Nope, it's the consumer's fault only when it's a Wii game. When it's an HD game it's always the developer's fault.

OT: as others have said, announcing a MH game in a Western conference would have made no sense, unless the first version to come out would be the Western version, which would be unheard of for MH. SO no surprise here.

Personally I am confident a MH game will come out for the 3DS, and I am confident that a MH game for the NGP will come out. The only unknown imo is which will arrive first, MH 3DS or MH NGP.

why should they bust their asses to create great content if its not going to sell?

Why should it sell if they're not creating great content would be a better question to ask. There are only a handful of titles that are really comparable with HD titles when it comes to production values and marketing. Those games mainly sold well (Monster Hunter, Guitar Hero, Epic Mickey).

Dont worrie Chrizum, its no use sony Flameboy's are out in force in the last 2 day's dont feed them.  Its imposible to have a meaningfull thread conversation till they leave.
