In that case Sabin is apparently a midget. All i'm sayin is look at what they've done with him since they've had the tech to not make him look like he was made of playdoh. cause many of the factors that make up what we call beauty, are the same for men and women, like the form of the face, the lines of the nose, and the cheeks, the form and edge of the jaws etc.
that's why in japanese arts men and women tend to look alike, cause the artist give them that kind of what we call 'beauty',

Eh, look at his cheekbones, very woman like cheekbones. Aside from that you've got the down to the back hair, the lipstick, the eyeshadow, the overly full lips, the womanly neck. The birthing hips, the way his coat fits on him. We can agree to disagree but I don't see how you can miss it anatomically... or makeup wise. I mean he's basically a J-pop star with a sword.

Being pretty in of itself is a girlish. Pretty = feminine trait. Pretty guys are feminine in nature. If pretty guys look like girls how does that not make them girlish? If you call the average guy pretty they'll actually get quite offended. Handsome = "Manly" good looking.

that does not make them girly, because it also works the other way around
you can also say that pretty girls tend to come closer to pretty men

if you look at Squall, you'd probably call him girly too
if you would change his hair and his eyelashes a bit, you could mistake him for a girl..

anyway, i still think Sephiroth is really manly compared to many other characters in games and anime
and espacially in AC he has an creepy and dark, and very manly look in he's eyes
