Though price isn't so much a factor now as it was before, however the Ps3 has lost so much ground to the 360 that it'll be near impossible for them to catch up without an affordable console with full BC.

 I thought it was the lack of games or to be more specific AAA title.  They should have had games like MGS4 and GT% or even killzone 2 out by now.  Hell I think the system has mainly sold because it is a cheap blue -ray player.  

I agree the system is selling more as a Blu-Ray player, in the end though the PS3 won't have the same number of features to make it sell for the hardware alone and not the games as is the case with the PSP.

It's not only price. The PS3 was rushed to market without tremendous development tools. This is causing everything to cost more in development and the reason so many games are delayed. It all boils down to the hardware not being ready on time for the devs to work with on an unfamiliar system.

Sony isn't failing they just arn't repeating what they did with the PS or PS2 its a different busniess model in many senses.

Considering the PS3 was to be the console to outdo both of those as well as be a financial cash cow, I think we can call it a failure up till this point. Will it be a failure in the long run, only time will tell, but right now it has failed to everything Sony wanted it to achieve.

The PS3 hasn't done as well as predicted by a long shot, thats pretty much fact. I think it was expected to be market leader by now

i read sony plans to release the most first party titles of the three coming year
and i think i read somewhere that they have like 50 teams

50 TEAMS!!!! it looks like they are definatley taking action to catch up with xbox 360. I think they need to do it by next christmas, good luck to them
