Gees you people so cheap, all of you buying MK when it gets a price cut! It's probably the biggest bang you can get for your buck when it comes to fighting games this gen ...

How come?

OT: I'm gonna download Portal 2 for PC.

Read Godofwar's post above.

CHALLENGE TOWER HERE I COME!

I'll stick with my BlazBlue, thank you.

*tumbleweed*

Yeah, I figure a game like that would go unoticed by yourself. Nevermind that it's an excellent game that will be played compeititvely for years to come. Can't say that about any of the MK games, really.

MK2 and UMK3 are still played competitively. How long has it been ? 15-17 years since their release ?

Anyway, this new MK game has been approved by EVO ..and will be a playable game in their toruney. I'm a believer that anything can improve...MK games in the past may have been unbalanced, and the more recent ones (in the 3D fighting plane) have been shitty...yes...but this one is a definite return to form. I have 100000% faith in NRS.

I would like to see an example of where it is, as Melty Blood has more presence than any of the MK games.

"We'll toss the dice however they fall,
And snuggle the girls be they short or tall,
Then follow young Mat whenever he calls,
To dance with Jak o' the Shadows."

Thats just in December last year...sure...and its not a very popular tournament...but it still counts

I'm not even trying to say that Blazblue is inferior to MK...I wouldn't know...Like seece, MK is the only real fighting franchise that I play and thats probably because its one of the most accessible fighters there is.. and the developers of this one have worked hard to balance the fighters and make them feel drastically different from each other..and it seems to be paying off. I wouldn't be surprised if this is played for years to come. So it'll definitely be an improvement and will probably end up being tournament worthy.

Oh and I smell better reviews than MvC3 for this one... anyone wanna bet ??

I like MK because it has imagination and originality. the other fighters are just crappy generic clones of each other not worth my time. Each has about, what 3 or 4 characters MAX that are interesting. MK easily has 40 plus.

MK is in a class of it's own, it might not be the best at tournaments and such, but it makes up for that, being good everywhere else (where the others fail, hard)

Whatever then. I think that your statement is pretty ridiculous considering you admitted you don't look into other games in the genre. There is opinion, but this seems a bit far-fetched.

I do look into them, where did I say I didn't?

None of them are special, except I'll give SF it's dues, it's probably the best of a bad bunch.

I think the success of MK being able to branch out into other forms is testiment to it's brilliance.

the only thing that's come close is a SF movie, and that was .....

Yeah...MK does have a rich backstory (which will definitely be explored in this reboot) and really interesting characters. But you have to admit that there were some really crappy characters in the recent games. Meat, Bo Rai Cho, Mokap...characters like that were retarded.

I'm really glad that Sub-Zero doesn't shout "Ice ball" everytime he throws one in MK...That is really annoying imo..I'm also glad the announcer doesn't say corny as hell stuff like "Get ready for the next battle" or "K....O....." while the opponent falls in slow motion. Little things like that annoy me so much.

Also, you have to do over the top retarded manuevers to pull off specials...I'd rather enjoy the game from the get go than spend an hour or 2 practicing how to pull off special moves. Maybe I just suck at those other games..I don't know..But I've tried to like SF, Tekken and Soulcaliber...I never really got into any of them.

portal 2 is the only one of those that interests me, but idk about buying it right as its out... im sure it will be interesting what there is...but not convinced its going to be worth the price.   and BRINK is out in about a month, so i will probably forget other games exist after that happens and may never well get it.

Conduit 2, so I didn´t vote, but I wanted to give my opinion.
