Forums - Gaming - I Played SMG.. WOW

The lives are forgiving because so many of the stars aren't forgiving.

Amusing fact: When I started Loopdeswoop galaxy, I had 12 lives. When I finally got that star, I had 34 lives.

I don't know, I didn't really find any of them to be unforgiving, per se (well, except for a handful of the races).  Most of them I found myself wondering at how I'd had trouble with them the first time around when I tried them again on my second go-through of the game.  My death count has gone from 315 to 155 to 50 across my fully completed play-throughs, and my current one's only got 4 deaths and 46 stars collected.  I think most of the "unforgiving stars" are just stars that you have an edge on if you know what's coming next.  Of course, that's true of most games.

I'm glad that you enjoy Super Mario Galaxy as it is one great game and I hope that you find many other great games (great for you that is) on the Wii so that its purchase is even more worthwhile.

As for Legend, shouldn't that be:

"The Wii on the other hand has no games that give me the urge to want to buy one... yet"

There is plenty of time for more games to come out and with the Wii's current success you can be sure that there will be plenty of 3rd party games that will come out for it too and it would be very surprising if no game interested you on it.

After all, with their poor 3rd party support both the N64 and GC had games like that so the odds are that the Wii will too.

"I do not suffer from insanity, I enjoy every minute of it"

I have 360 and Wii. Just started playing SMG today (Christmas present)
Only got 10 stars so far.
To be honest, it's an OK game. Maybe it'll get better.

I think I'll start playing Naruto on 360 (another Christmas present) and see if its any better

It will.. the first 40 stars are really blah and easy. After that it picks up.

Ok this is coming from a PS3 fanboy. I started watching my friend play it.. It didnt appeal to me at all it looked way to childish. WAIT.. Back off me. My friend like this is boring, I asked for the wiimote he passes it over. I being to play it first planet.

I start to get into it once i figer out what i missed. I have to say its the oppersite of what i was thinking. I loved it i ended up doing the first 4 stars, until i got kicked off cause we were going bowling. Ive only got one thing that i didnt like. Its too touchy to do the spin attack but other than that i loved it.. once i got some money im getting a Wii. Because i currently have 30$ left until pay day and its holidays soo yeah.

Any Ps360 boys feel this way?

I'm a Wii owner who did not like SMG so yea.

With regard to Call of Duty 4 having an ultra short single player campaign, I guess it may well have been due to the size limitations of DVD on the XBox 360, one of various limitations multi-platform game designers will have to take into consideration-Mike B
