I have to agree, but he uses a different one everytime and  UNFORTUNATELY there is only so many jumbo burgers.

I think one of Nintendo's advantages may be one if its disadvantages.  Nintendo has made it known (various Iwata asks) that their hardware is centered around a vital software idea that Miyamoto has for each generation, and it is usually manifested in a mario title.

In a nutshell, the kinds of games Miyamoto makes are the kinds of games that mesh the easiest with the Nintendo platform.  The xbox and playstation are business oriented machines and so they are not designed for just one kind of designer.  Nintendo will always have a harder time getting 3rd party support because their concepts are much more specialized, even if inventive as a result(which I'm in agreement that the wii and ds are).

Just a little theory, but it is true that Miyamoto's software ideas have a huge part in the hardware creation.

Not that I don't like Rare, but I don't think they could do great things for Nintendo right now, besides  new DKC game. Just look at all the crap they have on the 360.

Finding some studio of Retro`s caliber will be hard. They can make deep games like Metroid, yet make a game for everyone like DKCR - and that`s hard to achieve.
But, at the same time, Retro probably only reached this status with Nintendo`s guidance. So, if Retro could ascend in quality, so can other 2nd party studios.

Nintendo should capitalize on their assets, it will only be on their own benefit.

This is a good thing Nintendo is doing,but, it's going to be tough.

If you read up on Retro's history then they were quite a mess until about ten years ago... When Nintendo started working with them they had multiple projects in development that were quite mediocre, and at one point Nintendo basically took control of the studio, appointed new management, and canceled everything they had except Metroid...

So yes, it could definitely happen again.

It was, along with Blood Omen... but they take ages to finish their games (at least the good ones) , most of the time more than an entire console generation...

I wouldn't mind having them be Nintendo's port studio (like they did for twin snakes) during the decade between their original releases though
