Forums - Nintendo - Why Doesn't Nintendo Make Limited/Collector's Editions?

I wouldn`t mind having more limited editions with some artwork, ost or something like that. Even a different package is already nice.

Around the Network

Most limited edition stuff is BS anyway cause I see it 6 months later on the clearance shelf at Target...but I digress.

Nintendo seems to realese a lot more limited edition packages overseas, especially Japan, most of which are limited edition consoles with game packages, like the Phantom Hourglass DS pack, or the black and white pokemon DSi packs.

The only Limited Edition games in recent memory that were everywhere were the 25th Anniversary Mario, Metroid Prime Collection, and the Special Edition Windwaker pre-order disks with the ocarina of time master quest.

I'm glad they don't do this all the time because, most "Special" editions are just cash-ins and nothing special.

LISTEN TO THE FIRST WORLD PODCAST REAL GAMERS, REAL AWESOME

I remember getting a collectible coin with Super Mario Galaxy. They do it, just not as over-the-top as we've come to expect from collector's editions. When Nintendo gives us our own "functioning" Samus helmets with purchase of the next Metroid, then they'll be normal :P

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.
