Is Europe honestly that liberal?...and I thought some of the things our liberals thought were so out of line it is insanity (granted I think the same about some things the far right conservatives think)

This week our Conservative health minster introduced plans to let our universal national health service have some of its functions contracted out to private companies. It's so controversial it will probably be scrapped.

Obama can't even boost the provision for poorer people with private insurance before getting it shot down.

What are the insane liberal policies you're referring to?

I'm sure I read this here not too long ago.

Anyway, today there is little difference between modern conservatism and liberalism.  Conservatism has adopted so many classical liberal policies, such as a minimal state, democracy and mostly (but not always) an atomistic society.  Pretty much an emphasis on law, order and often immigration controls are the only differences nowadays.

Also, I wonder where I would fit in.  Politically, I'm somewhere between a social democrat and a neo-revisionist/3rd way socialist, maybe with a couple of hints of social liberalism and shallow ecologism.

fixed for you, there is no real difference. they act differently but they all want to grow government, push America's views upon the world, burn the constitution, give corporations civil rights, police its citizens, scare everyone to believe the way they do is for the citizen's safety or well-being, and basically support a fictitious democracy. 

I'm pretty sure all money "cut" from the budget will be put into the black budget to continue funding stupid worthless things.

I can't even really think of anything offhand, but I pretty much hate a majority of legislation that goes into place, because it is all just wasting money (whether it comes from the liberals or the supposed conservatives, who are just as good at wasting money), so in all reality, my favorite kind of politician would literally be somebody who does absolutely NOTHING when in office, other than maybe get some bj's and go have fun, lmfao.

Vote for me, and I'll promise I'll do nothing. Nothing whatsover.

Someone who does nothing offers no benefit or suffering for the country. You need someone who would be willing to slay the hydra that is government rather than just let it grow more head.

Nope, I want them to do nothing...unless an ACTUAL hydra attacks our country, in which case I want them to wage war against it and destroy it.
