I wouldn't say it was luck that helped you this round... it was just you taking a strong stance a people fearing to challenge you. I guess starting out as town made you play a radically different scum game than you're used to ^^ and you held strong.

ToS would have had MVP if you guys lynched zex instead of him, but the correct choice to follow vett's instict and the strong stance you imposed on the last day made you MVP by a good few steps.

@ TOS:  Like I said in the dead thread, "Barman" was pure flavor.  I asked heph the very same question! 

@ zexen:  although it was still a fun game, it's crazy to suggest that it wasn't poorly balanced.  heph acknowledges this, and it's pretty obvious from his list of planned vs. actual roles.  There were seven fewer roles, and ALL of the ones removed were town!  If the SKs had been protown instead it would have been a much more even game IMO. 

@ heph:  I think the flavor was great.  If people get all "tl;dr" on you, well, they don't have to read it.  Or they shouldn't -- I think you already did this, but it's imperative that the crucial info (X died in Y manner) be given outside of flavor for those who choose not to read it. 

However, the pictures shouldn't be so big they go off the side of the post area.

I agree with you on the Jedi part, people would have been pissed if we had won. I was completely baffled that no one seemed to mind radish and MetalGear claiming Jedi names so in the end I went with my real name even though I had analyzed what name to falseclaim many times before.

Heph, a few things to consider. I think the game was well balanced, of course no one expects you to achieve a perfect balance but considering you were experimenting you had a lot of success, when you say "but, if X had done this instead of that, this other faction would've won", then the game was well balanced, so don't worry about that.

As for criticisms, I think flavors were too long and I didn't really bother reading them, usually the flavor should just be a distraction and not important to the overall game. A big thing I didn't like is updating the OP half-way, if you don't have the time to update the OP, then don't begin the day till you can, and so on.

Also, I think PMs should be a bit more descriptive...though since this site's formatting sucks balls, I think they'd be ruined.

 

Anyway, that's my take, I enjoyed the game though, so thanks everyone, with this I take an indefinite leave from mafia playing, so it's been fun playing with y'all

For the emails, besides the massons, the other factions had the roles in the quicktopic... though there's also the issue of me explaining things clearly :p
