Forums - Gaming - Bayonetta = Best Hack&Slash I've ever played.

totally agree with the thread, bayonetta is the best action game I have ever played by a magnitude and one of the best games I have played ever.

one day I might even attempt the cosplay should the situation and right circumstances arise, maybe at a future halloween party

But you've played the PS3 version...

I don't know what are the issues with the PS3 version, but during my playthrough the only time I noticed slowdowns was during Chapter 14, when I was scaling the vertical dropping panel wall and I never noticed slowdowns during battles.

Boutros means that the PS3 Version is 30FPS and the XBOX 360Version is 60FPS.

Seriously? Well I would never say that it was on 30FPS to be honest. Then again, I can rarely spot the difference between 30 and 60 FPS on a console game.

That put things into much perspective, though to be honest, especially during the opening sequence, I didn't notice the amount of slowdowns that were present in this video, especially in the start of the sequence.

Other than the FPS's, is there any other difference between versions? Also, when I started the game, it asked me to download patch 1.02. What were the issues fixed in the patches?

Current PC Build

CPU - i7 8700K 3.7 GHz (4.7 GHz turbo) 6 cores OC'd to 5.2 GHz with Watercooling (Hydro Series H110i) | MB - Gigabyte Z370 HD3P ATX | Gigabyte GTX 1080ti Gaming OC BLACK 11G (1657 MHz Boost Core / 11010 MHz Memory) | RAM - Corsair DIMM 32GB DDR4, 2400 MHz | PSU - Corsair CX650M (80+ Bronze) 650W | Audio - Asus Essence STX II 7.1 | Monitor - Samsung U28E590D 4K UHD, Freesync, 1 ms, 60 Hz, 28"

In general I would agree.  Though I far prefer the story in the GoW games

I know Bayonetta is the King of all since God of War is getting old after I went through 1,2,3 and Chain of Olympus, but is the PS3 port playable? Heard too many bad things on the PS3 port, oh well

I like Bayonetta, but for me the game is just too hard .. barely made it through it on medium.

Im not sure whether it's a problem with the PS3 version or my TV having to much input lag or me just getting old and slow, but I just didn't manage to pull of enough dodges in fights and for some enemy attacks I almost never did.

The Patch fixed Long load Times in the PS3 Version because it allowed you install the Game before the PS3 Version was just streaming from the Blu-Ray Disc.

While i don't agree i have to say that this is the best hack and slash since DMC 3. GOW is another good hack and slash, but i found the gameplay in all of them lacking a bit. If it weren't for the quick time events those games would probably not be as popular as they are. NG1 and DMC1 are my 2 favorites, but Bayonetta is easily the best in over 5 years.

Bayonetta (on 360) is no doubt an incredible game, but...

Nothing touches GoW III imho.

In my opinion, God of War III is a much better game than Bayonetta.

Best hack-n-slash this gen = God of War III> Castlevania: Lords of Shadow> Dante's Inferno> Ninja Gaiden 2> Heavenly Sword>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> DMC4/Bayonetta.

I hated everything about Bayonetta. I hated Bayonetta herself because she's a horribly designed character with an unlikeable personality and has a hideous voice. I detested the musical score throughout, it was so poncy and irritating, absolutley terrible. I despised the combat, it's far too fast paced and hectic, it's a seizure inducing mess of a game, certainly not at all fun or satisfying. I hated the 'story', it's one of the worst stories in a game I've ever played. I hated the excessive sexualisation throughout the game, it's absurd and cringe worthy. The graphics are at best mediocre and I found the art design to be lousy and uninspired. As far as I'm concerned Bayonetta is a dreadful game, one of the most blatantly pathetic games I've ever played.
