I have lost faith in Engadget, the fact that all Apple products score higher than anything else is begining to annoy me
and even just comparing Android reviews, they seem so inconsistent in their scoring

I agree, they are very incosistent.
But they seem to have valid points here though. Apparently the screen blows and is dim, its a little slugish for 2011, specs are barely up to date for a $500 smartphone and the Dpad (which is great) doesn't have a very robust ecosystem at this point.

Well it is the launch of a new platform, so you can't expect too many things
Screen isn't great, but there are a few comprimises to be made, and I think the 2.3 should make up for it not being dual core, but as I said, I think it is probably best to wait until next year (certainly for me as I am in the middle of my contract and my X10 is now going to get a 2.3 update!)

Engadget reviewers are morons, One of them actually mixs UP ROM with RAM all the fucking time.

have you seen the arc review? the guy didn't even turn the video stabalization option on or off and yet he trolled the quality, like ... OMG
and no night shots at all? seriously? does he realise that the device comes with a brand new sensor that captures LOTS of details in low lights conditions?
Yeah, so the message is to wait for the PS Suite to get up and running before really judging it
Will hopefully be getting an Xperia Play for my birthday, near the end of May. Nice to see its getting some good support, hopefully it'll continue.
