That sums it all up what I meant, finally someone who understands my point as well. Seems like it we're made for the job to promote the real meaning of the WII

Too bad no matter how much viable infomation and reasoning we dish out, some idiot just comes back and says "wii is for mindless fun!" Ugh... *cuts wrist* How about backing up your statements with the whole truth. The wii is for mindless fun, but it is just as much for hardcore gamers and inbetween.

Both you and wiigirl continue to say the Wii has something to offer hardcore. I say mindless fun because hardcore types do play that type yet how much of a different perspective can "you" offer me?

Which wii games has the player drowned in thought? Or bending over at the complexity of the game? Any highly philosophical storylines?

No.... as of yet the wii is am easily accessible system which offers games that have plenty of MINDLESS fun. Centered around multiplayer experiences the Wii shows its strengh because of it's pick up and play approach and it easily shows that the goal is to retain existing nintendo customers and lure in new gamers. But what does nintendo have that will sway most PC, 360, and PS3 users?

NOTHING!

You both seem to not want to admit that right now the Wii is a very niche system and saying that it is for all ages/everyone doen't mean much. What it really means is that the gameplay and content is aimed to serve a large variety of players which normally leave those that have gamed for quite a while with a bad taste in their mouths. I for one love the style that nintendo games incorporate but I find their games lack any real motivation or difficulty.

I will say that Super Mario Strikers was the hardest mario game I've ever played...or at least that I can think of.  It gets easier the more people up to 4 you have, and if everyone knows what they are doing and uses teamwork and unselfishness then you can beat the harder difficulties.  The game is rather difficult, though, and it's deep enough control-wise.  I think with the popularity that more challenging/hardcore games will go to the Wii but it's yet to be seen if any will be better than the PS3 or 360 games.  Wii's Winning Eleven (to compare soccer games) probably won't be as good as the others.  I'm still curious how well soccer and basketball will control, though.

Thats a good example. I hope people do not think I am attacking the Wii. I am just trying to show a POV of people who are not sold on the Wii yet. They are not going to go out and buy a Wii for a multiplatform port if they own another system already. All of the gamers I talk to are firmly rooted because of set beliefs. Talk means nothing to them, So a game has to come around and knock their socks of before they see a viable option in the Wii. It is like pulling teeth here because I am arguing why the Wii isn't appealing for some to people who are already sold on the Wii.
